imagine your husband jongdae thinks you started like his best friend baekhyun, which is not true ofc (was that what you want? did I do it right? 😐)
“Baekhyun, I need you to take this party seriously!” you said with a pout.
The two of you were currently seated at the kitchen table discussing party plans. You’d roped your husband Jongdae’s best friend into helping you plan and throw a party to celebrate Jongdae’s recent promotion at work. Currently, however, Baekhyun was making origami footballs and shooting them at you. You regretted showing Jongdae how to make them because of course he’d show his best friend.
“Take what seriously?” Jongdae asked as he walked into the kitchen.
Baekhyun sat up straight as he entered and you pulled the pad of paper with your plans on it onto your lap.
“Don’t worry about it,” Baekhyun supplied.
Jongdae narrowed his eyes but didn’t question the two of you. You waited for him to leave the kitchen before pulling your paper back onto the table.
“Now will you please be serious about this? You’re the only other person who knows him in just about the same capacity that I know him. I love him and I want this to be great, Baek.”
Baekhyun nodded in understanding and began to throw out ideas. He truly was a genius when he was serious...
You thought Jongdae would let the conversation in the kitchen go, but he confronted you about it as soon as Baekhyun left.
“What’s going on with you two? You seem to have gotten awfully close to him...” Jongdae drawled, eyebrow raised.
You creased your forehead in confusion.
“We’re mutual friends through you, Dae,” you replied slowly, not sure what exactly he was trying to get at.
“Is that all? Friends?”
Your eyebrows shot up and you couldn’t help but snort as what Jongdae was implying. You would never even THINK about cheating on your husband and you would never even be BALLSY enough to do so with his best friend. Besides, you would never date Baekhyun. The thought alone sent shivers up your spine.
“Dae, I don’t want to give too much away and accidentally ruin the surprise, but I can tell you with 100% certainty that Baekhyun and I are ONLY mutual friends. I love you so much, Jongdae. Also, can you imagine Baekhyun and I together? I think I might actually strangle that poor boy,” you laughed out.
Jongdae’s shoulders eased before he picked up on the ‘surprise’ part of what you said.
“What kind of ‘surprise’?” he questioned, walking forward to rest his hands on your hips.
“Wouldn’t you like to know, lover boy,” you joked, pressing a kiss to his lips and winking.
Summary: Leaving is never easy, but it’s for the best, for me, for you and for us.
Notes: This idea is from months ago but uni being uni :/ Anyway, this is my favorite song from his album. ehe sorry if there is any mistake
Please don’t say things like that
“I think we should take a break” her voice was filling the room that once filled with her and his screaming at the top of their lungs. Jongdae didn’t even move an inch, trying to process everything. She zipped up her luggage which brought Jongdae into the realization that she really is leaving. “Please don’t go” he gripped her wrist as she walked pass by him. “I- I love you so much” tears were already falling down from his face and how she wished to wipe tears away from his beautiful face, the source of her happiness until days like these came. “I love you too but-“ she paused for a little bit, examining his tired and saddened eyes “This isn’t working well for us, for now. I don’t see the point why we should stay together” she couldn’t even reassure him that everything’s going to be ok when she knew that nothing’s ok within their relationship.
My eyes sting from staying up all night long
He sat facing the window in the bedroom they used to share together, darkness and light come and go and yet he didn’t move at all. He cried at night where his loneliness becomes so real almost to the point crying became a habit for him as the tears would go dry the next morning, he took a long break from his job, somehow the reason he got up in the morning suddenly gone, his will to live even gone too. He couldn’t sleep even if he tried too, he tried once only to find her face again but always repeating the same sentence over and over again. Staying up was better than sleeping, he should treat her better and there laid his regret, mistakes, and words.
I’ll throw away my immature, petty pride
Another dinner wasted she thought to herself after he promised to have dinner with her that night, after so many lonely nights and silent cries. It has been more than an hour and he didn’t even bother to text “I’m going to be late” or “You can eat first” none of that. “I’m home,” Jongdae said as he entered the kitchen only to find (Y/N) was throwing all of the 2 hours cooking meals into the trash. “What is that?” Jongdae walked to grabbed a glass of water and saw foods were being thrown away. It rang a bell from him, shit we supposed to eat dinner today he mentally punched himself. “I’m sorry I-“ she cut him off with a bitter laugh “It’s okay just another night of you forgetting stuff that you promised to do with me” she moved to clean up the empty plates. “Work has been stressful, I can’t leave it just like that, you know that it’s a very big pro-“ she immediately stops washing the dishes. “Yes, because you can leave me just like that” anger was already boiling inside of her, her bottled up feelings might burst out soon. “You know that’s not what I mean, baby” he frowned at her. “Oh yes I do, trust me, I fucking do, tell me once where we had a conversation that you didn’t talk about your work or maybe, just maybe ask about my day?” she turned to face him, her eyes were heavily moistured and that’s the breaking point of everything “It’s not that I don’t care about you” he paused “And why are you drifting away from our relationship like this? Why are you being so sensitive?” he continued. “I don’t know, never once I think of that” she tried to hold her tears from flowing like a waterfall “That, I feel like I’m the one who tries to piece our relationship together” the room was filled with her sobs “You don’t even remember that yesterday was supposed to be our anniversary right?” surely she added a fake smile. Guilt rushed over his body “I don’t know why am I still in this relationship after all” she leaned into the kitchen counter, scared that she might pass out. Jongdae wasn’t able to reply anything at her, he was too overwhelmed by everything. That’s when she let out the words he never wants to be spoken between them “I think we should take a break”
How should I comfort you? I still very lacking
Never once a day went by without him texting her, anything just anything. From asking her how is your day or even I’m ready whenever you are ready to talk and never once too she answered him, for her too his name displayed on the screen was already bringing out the pain she carried on those lonely nights. The last text he sends was around 2 am ‘I couldn’t bear losing you even when I know that I’m lacking so many things that you wish me to be. Please, just please guide me and stay by my side’
Just looking at you brings tears to my eyes
A photo where she was sitting on the beach, looking happy and beautiful made him cry again that night, he felt so stupid for every shitty thing that he has done to her where she deserved so much better treatment from him. There was also a picture of them within the bookshelf where they visited his parents and how he missed those warm feelings that radiated from the picture. He couldn’t forget how genuinely happy she was eating his mother’s foods, how the stars brightly shine as much as her eyes, the person he wanted to spend the rest of his life with and yet there he was creating the destruction into their relationship.
And fill the space with words of love I was too awkward to say
The long night melts away any hatred we have
And isn’t that enough? Let me stay by your side
One phone call got him running into the station, he couldn’t let her go just like that.
“I know that I shouldn’t tell you this” Minhee said through the phone, she couldn’t stand the condition that her friend has been in “She wants to move out of the city, she’s probably already in the station now” his heart was beating fast and without any second thought there he was trying to find her train.
He found her from outside the train’s window, looking sad just like him. He got into the train and sat in front of her which made surprise her as Jongdae was still trying to catch his breath. He felt suffocated yet he didn’t know whether it’s because of the running or seeing her face again. Her hand was held by him tightly, they didn’t even bother to say anything to each other, only him stroking her hand softly.
(I just love happy Chen so have a happy Chen gif for a fluffy fic)
Request: Hi! May I request a fluffy Jongdae scenario? I saw you do parent au, so that would be amazing if you can! Thank you in advance!
Word Count: 953
A/N: I’m so happy to write for Jongdae! I got such fluffy feels writing this, I hope you feel that way reading it too! Sorry if it’s a little short, if felt like a natural place to end and I didn’t want to drag it on longer than what felt right. If you want more let me know!
“Eomma, appa!” you hear as you feel someone shaking your shoulder. “Eomma~”
“What is it baby?” you say as you see your daughter kneeling between you and your husband Jongdae on your bed, your husband still fast asleep.
“I’m hungry,” your daughter, Jong-eun, whines.
“Alright baby, let’s go get you breakfast. Let your appa sleep.”
“Is he eating breakfast with us?”
“We’ll see. He was up really late at work, we’ll make him breakfast for when he wakes up,” you promise your daughter.
“Yay! Can we make pancakes?” she asks as you guys walk out to the kitchen.
“Sure baby. What kind do you want?”
Jong-eun just grins at you with a look in her eyes that could only mean one thing - chocolate chip pancakes. You pull out the ingredients and when Jong-eun sees the chocolate chips you hear a happy squeal come from your 5-year-old, making you chuckle a little.
Jong-eun helps you pour in and stir all the ingredients together, and then watches as you make each pancake and put them on the platter. She helps make a plate for you and her, as well as for her appa.
As you guys begin eating, you hear what sounds like a camera shutter, when you see Jongdae standing in the hall taking photos of you two.
“How long have you been standing there?”
“Long enough to know you guys made a plate for me, too,” Jongdae replies, giving Jong-eun a kiss on the head and then you a good morning kiss. He grabs his plate that Jong-eun made and sits with you guys.
Once you clean up from breakfast you head to take a shower while Jongdae gets Jong-eun ready for school. Since you guys woke up earlier than usual, you take your time showering and getting ready. When you get back out to the living room, you see Jongdae and Jong-eun cuddling on the couch watching cartoons. You snap a couple of photos before heading over to them, giving Jongdae time to get ready.
Once Jongdae finishes getting ready, the three of you head out to drop Jong-eun off at school and run some errands. The whole way there Jong-eun holds Jongdae’s hand, happy he can bring her to school. After dropping Jong-eun off, you and Jongdae head off to run some errands, stopping at some point to grab lunch. By the time you have to pick Jong-eun up, all that is left to do is grab a few things from the grocery store. You think that it’d be a nice surprise to Jong-eun if Jongdae picked her up, so you head off to do grocery shopping while Jongdae picks up Jong-eun.
Upon arriving, Jongdae sees Jong-eun playing in the school’s front yard.
“Appa!” Jong-eun exclaims once she sees her dad, and runs over to him into his arms.
“Hi baby, how was school?” Jongdae asks, picking her up.
“It was good! I made a new friend!”
“That’s awesome! What do you wanna do while we wait for eomma to finish shopping?”
“Can we go to the park?”
“Sure baby,” Jongdae puts your daughter down as they head to the park down the street. While there, Jongdae buys your daughter an ice cream. “Don’t tell eomma, she’ll say I spoiled your dinner. Pinky swear?”
“Pinky swear!” your daughter promises, just happy to have ice cream. Jongdae and Jong-eun sit on a bench enjoying their snacks when a thought comes to your daughter’s mind.
“Appa?” she asks.
“What’s up baby?”
“When can I have a brother or sister?”
Jongdae just goes wide-eyed, not sure what to say to your daughter. “Why’s that?”
“Everyone at school has one and I want one too.”
“That’s something we’ll have to talk to eomma about ok? I’ll talk to her and see what she thinks.”
Jong-eun nods, turning her attention back to her ice cream. Just as she finishes, Jongdae gets a text from you saying you’re done shopping and will meet them at the park. Once you get there, Jong-eun goes back to playing on the equipment while you and Jongdae sit and watch her.
“So you’ll never guess what Jong-eun asked me before,” Jongdae brings up.
“What did she ask?”
“She asked when she’s getting a brother or sister.”
“What did you tell her?”
“I told her I’d talk to you about it.”
“So about that…” you trail off, looking your husband in the eye.
“What do you mean?” he asks, unsure if he should be excited or afraid.
“I didn’t just go to the store just now. I haven’t been feeling well the last few days so I decided to go to the doctor just in case so I didn’t get you guys sick, but…”
“Wait, are you…?”
“7 weeks. It’s too early to tell Jong-eun, but yes. We did it!” you tell your husband as you pull out the ultrasound of your little blueberry.
“Oh my gosh, we did it,” Jongdae stutters out through tears, looking at the ultrasound in awe.
After a few minutes of silent celebration, you notice what time it is. “It’s getting close to dinner time, think it’s time to take Jong-eun home?” Jongdae nods, still at a loss for words. You wave Jong-eun over, and Jongdae helps you bring the bags of groceries home, the ultrasound photo tucked into his pocket. On your way home you guys decide that takeout sounds good (like something you can stomach) so you guys stop by there to pick it up before heading home.
Once you guys get home and unpack the groceries, you three (now four) sit down to dinner, Jongdae making sure to put a little extra on your plate to make sure your baby eats and grows, too.
Author Note : FINALLY!! I’ve been really struggling to write this week but your drabbles yesterday helped me finish this!! Thank you for being patient, I hope you enjoy lovelies!!💛
It wasn’t a normal relationship. You couldn’t tell your friends, your family, anyone for that matter. He was your little secret and you were his. Just the way he liked it. When Kim Jongdae walked into your life that Thursday evening, you had no idea just how much your world was about to change.
---
Capture Coffee was your baby, your home, your very reason for living. For as long as you could remember you’d dreamed of taking over the business; growing up you’d watched your grandmother put her blood sweat and tears into this place and now, it was yours. You wanted to make her proud and be successful. Since her death a few years ago, you’ve spent every single day working to improve and make the café something she would be proud of. While there weren’t many new faces, the café saw its fair share of regulars each day that made the whole place feel like home to many in the neighbourhood. So, when you heard the door open around 5pm that Thursday, but not Mr Oh’s regular order, it took you by surprise. Coming face to face with one of the most beautiful men you had ever seen. That was 8 months ago.
Since that first meeting; where you’d made a complete fool out of yourself jumbling your words, avoiding eye contact and almost spilling hot coffee all over said beautiful stranger; he had become a regular.
To say Jongdae was intrigued by you would be a severe understatement. At first he had thought your nerves stemmed from recognising him and the business he works as part of the EXO mafia; but then you asked for his name and he saw the deep blush that was creeping its way up your neck, “want my phone number too?” he had joked, loving the way your eyes immediately snapped up to his, wide and embarrassed, the red of your neck spreading across your cheeks and burning your ears. Adorable.
“Just kidding doll, I’ll see you tomorrow” leaving with a wink and a smile.
He had made a point of coming to see you almost every day from then on; at 5 o’clock when you heard the door chime open, you knew that Kim Jongdae would be there, looking at you with that magical smile of his and glistening eyes, just waiting to tease you for the blush that never failed to paint your cheeks whenever you saw him. Somewhere along the way, all the teasing and shy glances had turned into something much more.
---
It wasn’t too long into the relationship that Jongdae had told you about his work. It was a shock and it scared you, but you loved him. Not even all the gangs in all the city could keep you from him. The love you shared was extraordinary, you’d never felt this way about anyone before, you’d never loved or been loved like this before.
Jongdae was completely besotted with you. Every spare moment he got was spent texting you, asking about your day, asking how you were feeling. His life as a part of a mafia made it difficult for the pair of you to meet often, but all the secrecy just made everything more exciting. He was your little secret.
---
“Hey Yeri, where’s the boss?” Jongdae greeted your co-worker, he leaned on the counter, peeking back into the kitchen to try and catch a glimpse of you. The
“She’s just round back bringing in a delivery, what can I you?” before Yeri could get an answer Jongdae was already moving around to the back door.
“I’ll give her a hand. Through here right?” Jongdae asked, feigning ignorance, like he’s never been back there before on his way up to your apartment that was just above.
“Uhhh yeah, I don’t know if you’re allowed back there…” Yeri tried to respond but Jongdae was already gone.
He opened the back door to see you talking with the delivery guy, who was shamelessly trying to flirt with you. Jongdae thought it was funny. This poor guy was pulling out all the stops trying to coax a giggle out of you, when you were giving no reaction, other than trying to end the conversation as quickly as possible. He thinks back to all those times at the beginning when he was in the same position, only he had made you blush and giggle and join in on his terrible jokes. Jongdae decides it’s time to save you so he calls out your name and takes the boxes of produce from the delivery guy, giving him a pointed look.
“Y/N, here let me help you carry these”
“Jongdae, um thank you, how did you get back here?” you ask, turning away from the now rather embarrassed delivery guy, more fixated on the fact Jongdae was here on a Wednesday, one of the few days he never made it in to see you.
“Yeri let me in, said you might need some help with a delivery,” he gives you his signature smile, and beckoning you to follow him back inside.
“Um, thanks for the delivery Taeil, see you next week.” You waved goodbye and swiftly followed Jongdae inside.
“What are you doing here?!” Basically jumping him the second he put the boxes he was carrying down in the storage room, you wrap your arms around his neck and lean in to kiss him. Jongdae laughs at your enthusiasm, kissing you back with just as much eagerness.
“I missed you,” he whispered against your lips, holding your body close as he leans behind you to shut the door, hiding the pair of you from everybody, “I wanted to see you”
He kisses you again, fingers playing with the hem of your t-shirt, teasing the warm skin that lies beneath. As things heat up, you tug at the hairs at his nape and pull his bottom lip between your teeth, enticing a low moan. Just as his hands had moved underneath your shirt to cup your breasts, there’s a loud knock from the door to the store room you both were hidden in.
“Y/N?” Yeri was calling out for you, “Did you lock yourself in? A huge rush of customers just came in I need help” pulling you out of the bubble that was Jongdae, you reluctantly step back from him and pull your clothes back into place.
“Uh, yeah I’ll be right out Yeri,” you shout back, hoping it’s enough to lead her away from the door so Jongdae could make his exit.
Jongdae leans in and places a soft kiss on your cheek, “I’ll see you tomorrow doll,” and then he was gone. Somewhat of an expert at leaving your place unnoticed.
“Did Mr Kim find you?” Yeri asks when you join her out at the storefront.
“Yeah he brought the deliveries in for me, but don’t send anyone else back there okay” you reprimanded with a teasing glint. You knew Yeri had picked up on the fondness between you and Jongdae, she’d just never brought it up. Maybe it was a professional thing, seeing as technically you were her boss, either way, it was better that things were left unsaid.
“What? I never sent him back there?” she defends, placing a hand over her chest in mock offense.
“You didn’t?”
“No! He asked where you were then ran back there before i could stop him!” Giggling at the thought and blushing slightly, you tell her it’s fine before you both continue to serve the plethora of customers surrounding the counter.
---
The next day you make sure to stay at the front of the café, just in case Jongdae came in. Luckily it was never very busy on Thursdays, so Yeri was making herself busy in the kitchen while you were in charge of service.
When you heard the familiar door chime at 5 o’clock, it was almost impossible to keep your excitement in. Jongdae stood before you, again with his beautiful smile, leaning against the counter.
“One latte please doll,” he ordered, giving you a playful look as you both knew what that order meant. Not too long ago the two of you had come up with a code of sorts, that meant you could plan your dates in public without raising too much unwanted attention. It was silly and a little juvenile but Jongdae had insisted that it was necessary to keep you safe from his world.
One latte that meant he would be showing up outside your door later that night to spend those dark hours rolling around between the sheets of your bed or maybe catching up on that one show you both love, cuddled up together on your couch. Needless to say lattes had become your favourite order.
“One latte coming up,” the smile that paints your face is breath taking Jongdae thinks. He loves that the thought of spending time with him makes you this happy.
While you’re turned away making his order, Jongdae looks around at the customers. As usual he can see Mrs Kim, an older lady who sits and reads for most of the day, sitting in her usual seat by the windows as well as the small group of students studying together in the corner; but today there’s someone else who catches his eye. Sitting in the back is a man decked out in black, jacket bulky clearly hiding a weapon or two, mask covering the lower part of his face as he watches you silently. Jongdae immediately stiffens, recognising the jacket as one of EXO’s newer enemies, and turns back to you with a colder expression then before.
“Here you go,” you say, beaming up at him as you hand over his drink, “enjoy your order.”
“Thank you for the latte,” Jongdae stresses the word as a subtle reminder that he’ll see you later, before leaving quickly without looking back.
Later that night the pair of you were curled up on the rug of your living room, watching The Great British Bake Off and criticizing Barbara’s fondant technique. The man from before long forgotten.
---
“Do we really need all these snacks Dae !?” you asked while giggling at the sight of Jongdae throwing another 4 packets of family sized popcorn into the cart. Tonight was the first time in a while he was able to stay over for the entire night with you, as well as most of the day tomorrow too, so of course he was going all out for you. You were sure he’d already got half the store in the tiny cart you were pushing around the aisles after him.
“Of course we do!” He gasped, adding a jumbo packet of chips to the collection, “we’re spending the next 24 hours lying in bed, watching trashy tv and having lots of sex, we need to be prepared.” He wiggled his eyebrows suggestively before his gave falls to something behind you.
“C’mon I think we’re done” he grabbed the other end of the cart, pulling you along with him to the checkout line.
“Are you sure? I mean we only have 20 cups of ramen here Dae, what if that’s not enough?” You joke, satisfied at the way he turns to you with puppy eyes and whines an adorable ‘yah’ at your teasing.
That night, the two of you stuffed your faces with chocolates and sweets, legs entwined together still naked from previous activities, only half paying attention to whatever was playing on the television.
---
Since that night, things between you and Jongdae had changed drastically. You can pinpoint it as the exact moment everything started going downhill; Jongdae knew it too; of course he did it was his fault.
He stopped coming to see you as much, no longer making his weekly trips to the café; nor was he sneaking into your apartment after hours. When he did show up, Jongdae was distant, refusing to touch you or even so much as look at you. He was rude to Yeri, rude to you - you just assumed it was work stress and that it would pass. But it didn’t.
Weeks went by and he was still acting the same way, you were starting to think that it was you, maybe you had done something wrong or upset him somehow? Your worries were all but confirmed when it got to your year anniversary and you were left standing outside a downtown restaurant for 2 hours, with no word from Jongdae.
Not until the next morning that is, when you wake up to a text that read ‘sorry, was busy with work.’ You felt sick. Was this really what it had come to? Yes, you understood that in Jongdae’s line of work things were often unpredictable and unreliable; you knew all that. But he had always made such an effort; always put so much work into keeping your relationship as normal as possible, regardless of his occupation.
You haven’t seen or heard from Jongdae in a few weeks, you’ve sent him messages asking if he was okay; if he needed anything etc - but they all went unread.
---
The café was particularly busy today, meaning both Yeri and yourself were working like mad, alternating who was manning the till and who was in charge of making orders. It was stressful enough; but with a large number of todays orders being lattes, you couldn’t help but feel sad. You missed him.
When 5 o’clock rolled around and the door chimed open, you almost jumped out of your skin when you saw Jongdae standing at the counter.
“I need to talk to you.” He says flatly, not even bothering to look you in the eye. You could feel the tension radiating off of him, he was still in the same mood he had been for weeks.
“Um, sure. We can go to the back,” you offered, figuring he wouldn’t want to talk about your business out in the open like this, not when he’d been so secretive over the entirety of your relationship.
You go to open the small gate that led behind the counter, but he stops you.
“No.” He raised his voice, looking at you now with sharp and cold eyes that sent shivers down your spine. “Here is fine.”
You tried to tell him that it was too busy, too loud, to talk out at the front like this, but he just dismissed you and continued his stare down.
“I don’t want to see you anymore.” You don’t move. Refusing to believe that those words had just left his mouth.
“Did… did I do something? Dae…”
“For fuck sake Y/N!” Jongdae had never raised his voice at you before, “can’t you just listen to me for fucking once!” Everyone went quiet. It felt like the whole world was standing there watching you get screamed at, and you couldn’t do anything about it, too frozen in shock.
“I...I don’t understand…” before you could try and ask for some sort of reason, Jongdae was already back shouting at you.
“This was nothing! We were nothing! You were a good fuck Y/N so I kept coming back, but that’s it. You’re just a disgusting waste of my time and I don’t want to see you again. Don’t text me, call me, anything!” His eyes bore into your soul as he threw his words around like they meant nothing, each word cutting you deeper than the last. You could feel the eyes of customers watching you both, there warm tears dripping down your cheeks but you couldn’t make yourself speak.
Jongdae walks closer to you till he’s standing but a breath away, forcing you to look down to avoid his stare, leaning in close to whisper, “Is that fucking clear.”
You nod weakly, still in a little bit of shock as you watch him step back and storm out.
Had it not been for Yeri quickly rushing to your side and yelling at everyone to mind their business, you probably would have collapsed right there. You didn’t understand. Was it really all a lie? Did he mean everything he had just said? How could you have been so stupid?
All you could do was cry into Yeri’s neck, too hurt to try and piece it all together now.
---
For the next few days you kept the café closed and instead opted for some well needed wallowing time. That meant staying in bed with nothing but leftover Ramen and a Criminal Minds collection. It wasn’t pretty, but you needed it.
After Jongdae’s outburst at you, you were left questioning the entire last year of your life with him. However with the wounds still so fresh, the only thing you could make sense of was Spencer Reid’s desperate need for a haircut.
Yeri came to check up you every day, bringing you sandwiches cut into bunny rabbits and to begging you to get up and shower.
“He is not worth this Y/N. C’mon, just wash your hair at least, it will make you feel so much better I promise,” While she meant well, there was only one thing that was even slightly making you feel better right now.
“Look at him Yeri! Why can’t I have a Derek Morgan? I thought Dae was my Derek Morgan, but turns out he was just a Mr Scratch! Messed with my head, then drove me crazy!” you cried out. Maybe you had watched enough for one day.
Little did you know, that across town Jongdae was in the exact same position.
He had walked straight home after leaving the café, changing into sweats and burying himself in bed indefinitely - only he was binging cake boss not Criminal Minds.
“Okay, what the fuck is wrong with you?” Junmyeon, the leader of EXO asked, storming into Jongdae’s room to find him face down in the sheets, muffling sobs into his pillow.
“Leave me Jun,” Jongdae wails from his duvet cocoon, “I don’t deserve friends, just leave me here to melt away!”
Sighing at the dramatics of it all, Junmyeon grabs one of Jongdae’s feet and pulls him off the bed onto the ground.
“You’re going to tell me what happened and you’re going to tell me now! We’re a man down out there Dae, why are you acting like a kicked puppy?” Junmyeon struggled to hold his leader persona at the sight in front of him; if it wasn’t so pitiful it would be funny; a disoriented Jongdae tangled up on the floor; hair a mess and lips trembling.
“I kicked a puppy…” he whispers, guilt evident.
“You what?” seeing that this was going to be a long story, Junmyeon sat down on the floor next to him and waited patiently.
“Y/N. She was a puppy, and I kicked her. I hurt her so badly Jun but I didn’t have a choice!” Jongdae’s eyes were glassy again as he tried to explain himself to his leader.
He told him all about you; your relationship; everything. He let it all out through tears and choked sobs while Junmyeon sat and listened intently.
“Jun, there were people following her. They were at her café, at the grocery store, in the park across the street. She was in too much danger.”
“So you broke her heart in front of everyone to keep her safe?” When Jongdae nods in confirmation, Jun reaches round to whack him on the back of the head. “What were you thinking!? We could have protected her you idiot! You said she knows about what we do and yet she still gave you the time of day! Do you know how rare that is?!” he scolded.
“Look, Dae, you love her. She clearly still loves you. Don’t just throw away something like that, not when you have all of EXO to back you up.”
Jongdae sat for a minute, letting the leaders’ words sink in. What had he done? He had to see you.
---
It’s raining. Yeri had managed to convince you to move to the couch so you could wash your sheets; so you were lying in the living room staring blankly at the tv. You’re not even sure what’s happening in this episode, but it’s a distraction.
There’s a knock on the café door downstairs but you ignore it. Can’t they see it’s closed? The knocking continued, getting louder and louder every time, with a groan you shuffle down to see who the hell had interrupted your FBI training.
What you saw was a soaking wet Jongdae, peering through the glass till he saw your approaching figure.
“Y/N! Open the door it’s pouring!” He yelled, voice muted out by the heavy rain.
“What do you want Jongdae? You said you didn’t want to see me again remember?” You yell back; there was no way you were going to give into him that easily.
“Please Y/N, let me in and I’ll explain everything I promise,” he pleaded, but you didn’t move.
“Go away Dae.” You turn around to go back upstairs, fully intending to ignore him and whatever he wanted to say, but Jongdae yells something else at you.
“I’m not leaving till you let me in. I’ll knock on this door all night. I’ll knock all week if that’s what it takes!”
He couldn’t be serious. While you were still in wallowing mode, you didn’t want him to risk getting sick, not when he already looked about as bad as you felt.
Taking a deep breath, you give in and unlock the door, letting Jongdae inside, but no further than past the door.
“Baby,” he starts, arms reaching out for you but you step back.
“What do you want Jongdae?” crossing your arms over your body as if you were physically protecting your heart, you refuse to make eye contact.
“I love you,” he confesses, slowly taking steps closer, “I messed up. I thought by leaving you I would be protecting you, but all I did was hurt you more.”
“What do you mean protecting me? Am I in danger?” The panic was building inside of you, the sudden realities of the life Jongdae lives and how you were included in that washing over you.
Jongdae shakes his head nervously as he watches your defences against him slowly come down enough for him to pull you into his embrace.
“There were people watching you; in the café, outside the café… I just…I thought if I made them believe I didn’t care about you then they’d leave you alone,” He was crying now, fingers idly playing with the hem of your t-shirt as he poured his heart out to you. Telling you everything Junmyeon had told him; about how EXO can protect you and how much he’s hated himself since he left you. “I tried to live without you Y/N but I can’t do it. I love you so much, I’m so fucking sorry, please forgive me baby, I’m so sorry Y/N.”
Reaching out to cup his face, you brush away his tears and lean in to place a gentle kiss on his lips.
“You idiot,” you whisper against his lips, a pitiful smile painting your own, “you could have told me, we’re in this together remember?”
“Please forgive me,” he whispers back, his hands moving under your shirt in search of the warmth of your skin.
“Of course I forgive you.”
In the next moments, Jongdae lifts you by your thighs to carry you up to your apartment. Lips locked and clothes pulled from each others bodies, it doesn’t take long before you’re both lying on your freshly changed bed sheets, touching and kissing each other like you’d been apart for years.
Jongdae uses one of his hands to spread your legs while his other hand works on removing his jeans; at the same time you’re slipping off your panties, keeping your lips latched onto his, refusing to be apart from him in any way again.
“God I’ve missed you,” you moan out when he slides his erection through your folds, collecting the wetness that was leaking.
“I can’t wait baby, is that okay? Are you ready?” Jongdae asks breathlessly, desperate to feel you around him again, wanting to be as close to you as possible.
“Dae if you don’t fuck me right now I swear to God!” With that he pushes in, slowly, making sure you feel every inch of him; before pulling out just as slow. Eventually the slow pace becomes too tedious so Jongdae speeds up, ramming into you fast, holding you by your hips hard enough to leave bruises; mouth continuing it’s assault down your neck.
It doesn’t take too long for the both of you to finish, holding onto each other desperately as you come down from your highs.
“Dae,” you call, “we’re in this together okay. Don’t push me away again, please.” your voice is small but he hears, reaching over to pull you into his side as he kisses your forehead and whispers,
[7:17pm] Your face blushes when Jongdae stares deeply into your eyes after you kiss him on the cheek, “If you are going to kiss me do it right,” he smiles and before you can respond he places both of his hands on your cheeks before kissing you softly. You can’t help but to sigh into his mouth while Jongdae takes the time to deepen the kiss while he brings his hands down to your waist to pull your body closer to his

Jongdae isn’t a cryer. No. He rarely sheds tears but when he does, he makes sure no other pair of eyes would witness it.
You know this for a long while now, even before the two of you had started dating. So, when one of his group members had called you in the middle of the night, worriedly asking if you had seen him—telling you how he had just stormed off after practice, you immediately decided to search for him.
You quickly put on a hoodie and sweatpants, grabbed your keys from the counter as you swiftly made your way to the door and out into the cold night. You swing open the door and moved to step out—only to stop abruptly when you catch a familiar figure sitting down and hunched over on your front porch steps. Upon the sound, the figure turned, revealing Jongdae in a mask.
“Hey.” You sigh in relief. “What are you doing here?”
Jongdae’s eyes crinkle slightly, which meant he smiled. He pulls his mask down, “I think I should be the one asking what you’re doing heading out at two in the morning.”
“I was gonna look for you.” You answer without missing a beat, causing him to frown. “Minseok called. He’s worried you haven’t come home to the dorms since they saw you at practice this afternoon.”
Jongdae sighs and looks down at his lap, looking guilty. “Sorry for making you worry. I’m fine. I just…needed to be alone for a while.”
You didn’t question why, not yet anyway, and instead move to sit beside him on the tread.
“You say you’re fine, but I think we both know you’re not.”
Jongdae remains quiet, and you wait for him to speak up, not wanting to push him.
“It’s just hard sometimes.” He says, voice cracking. You nod, inching closer to his side to comfort him. You knew how hard Jongdae worked. And though he’s one of the strongest and bravest man you’ve ever known, he’s still human. And sometimes people get tired…we hurt.
It didn’t take long before you hear silent sobs coming from him. You didn’t dare look and just let him lean against you as he cries out his fears, his exhaustion, his pain.
“I don’t want you to see me like this.” He gasp out in between his sobs and you shush him while putting an arm around him, your hand sneaking through his locks as your run your fingers through his hair to calm him down.
Jongdae ends up sleeping on your couch that night, with you calming him to sleep as you continued to run your fingers through his hair. When you felt that he was already asleep, you move to stop but Jongdae’s hand held yours suddenly, pulling you back.
“Don’t go.” He says, his eyes still closed.
“We both need sleep.”
He moves slightly, making room on the couch, insinuating that you cuddle up against him. You sigh, thinking that this is definitely not good for your backs but move to lie down next to him anyways. Jongdae’s arms instantly wrapped against your waist, holding you securely against him and the two of you fell asleep to the rhythmic beating of your hearts.
Chanyeol
It’s no secret that life is basically a rollercoaster ride, a mix of towering highs and ground-breaking lows. One day you feel like you’re on the top—the world wrapped around your fingertips, the next you feel like everything and everyone has turned against you, leaving you helpless and unable to get back up on your feet.
Chanyeol is at the top of his game: he had the career, the dream job, and he has you—the love of his life. He knows his life couldn’t get anymore perfect than that. But it did. It happened when he asked you to marry him, and you had said yes. For Chanyeol, life is a kite held up by strong winds 24/7.
But that’s until the unexpected happened. When the tables turn all of a sudden when a single text changed his life forever. The next thing he knew, he’s exiting backstage in a rush; feeling like his heart would burst as he barged into the hospital’s emergency room, demanding to see you. The nurses had to pull him out by force, telling him that you were currently under surgery—after having been majorly injured in a car accident. Chanyeol was horrified. You texted him only a few hours ago, letting him know that you were running late but already on the way. He cried so hard that night, thinking how he wouldn’t be able to forgive himself if anything happened to you.
It’s then that Chanyeol was at his lowest, his life turning 180 degrees when you came out of that surgery room alive but in a coma. It lasted for days…weeks…months, but Chanyeol never left your side. Even when some people thought you might never wake up, he believed you would; for you were the strongest person he knew and he hoped you would be able to keep your promise of forever to him.
He sings to you as you slept, talks about his day even when he wouldn’t get a reply. Some days were easier, some nights were so hard he cried himself to sleep for hours. The worse are the dreams…for it is there that he felt how much he truly missed you. It was there that you were alive and smiling, alive and laughing, alive and loving him.
Two months turned into four, six, seven…
Chanyeol goes straight to the hospital after his rehearsal, his muscles aching and his body practically begging to get some rest. But he’s all smiles when he enters, greeting your sleeping form with so much love and adoration. He sits on the chair beside the bed and holds your hand, and then proceeds to talk about his day like he always did for the past eight months. It didn’t take long before exhaustion took over him however, and he’s sent into dreamland.
His dreams were so vivid sometimes it felt real. That night he dreamt of you running your fingers through his hair. He loves it when you did that. It always soothed him, and calmed his nerves whenever he was stressed out.
Chanyeol opens his eyes and he blinks, feeling familiar warmth against his hair.
Must still be dreaming, he thinks as he blinks once…twice…before finally realizing he’s hunched over a hospital bed.
Wait…
He sits up and is surprised to find your eyes open, your hand pausing from running your fingers through his hair. Chanyeol felt tears pricking his eyes as he held it, squeezing once. To his surprise, you squeeze back and smiled weekly.
“Am I dreaming?”
You shake your head and tried to smile in your weak state, and the tears spilled from his cheeks. He kissed you before frantically calling for the nurse with tears falling from his eyes like a waterfall; glad that his princess finally woke from her deep slumber. Right then…for the first time in forever, he feels like everything is going to be okay.
“about to come again, princess?” jongdae asks with a teasing tone lingering in his voice. you could only nod. you’re too tired from all the teasing jongdae has made you go through and the fact that he denied three orgasms from you? you were almost at your breaking point. your mind is in an acute and every inch of your body is in full sensitivity. “oops,” he jokes as he stops fucking you with two of his fingers.
you whine pathetically. your pussy is starting to ache and your squirming too much to jongdae’s liking. “daddy, i feel like i’m about to die,” you blabbered messily. you were starting to talk nonsense and jongdae took pity on you. he presses on your stomach and finger fucks you once more, now with three fingers. it causes your toes to curl. you throw your head back when he helps you prolong the orgasm by rubbing your clit slowly.
“wasn’t that orgasm worth it, princess?” you shoot jongdae an annoyed look and he chuckles, kissing you softly on the forehead. “you loved it. i know you do.” you wrap your arms around jongdae’s arms and litter kisses all over his face. “i love it when you make me come, daddy.”
Requested by @noona-clock, i hope you like it, lovely!
Details: A fluffy sunrise spent with boyfriend!Jongdae
Having been on tour for quite some time, it felt like heaven to have Jongdae by your side once more. The past few days had been spent with the both of you attached to the hip; forever clinging to one another in every room of the house, it doesn't have to be said that not much got done around the house during that time. And though Jongdae had been home for almost a week now, he still hadn’t been able to shake off his jet lag.
It was almost 5 am, and Jongdae had moved a chair to sit by the window in your bedroom. He’d been tossing and turning for hours, hell, he even thought of waking you up, but he knew better than to do such a thing. He sighed, rubbing his tired eyes as he saw the first glimpse of the bright sun. He grinned to himself, remembering the pictures of night skies he’d taken whilst on tour and sent to you. The sun, the stars - they’d been one of his comforts whilst being so far away from you for such a long time. As the moon and stars gleamed during those nights, it meant another night without you, but as the sun rose over the horizon, it meant he was one day closer to getting back to you.
At the thought, he looked over his shoulder to see you already looking at him.
“Oh, did I wake you up?” He asked. You shook your head sleepily as you quite practically rolled out of bed and shuffled towards Jongdae. With open arms, he tugged you onto his lap, chuckling lightly at the sight of you struggling to keep your eyes open. “You should go back to sleep, silly.”
“Wanna see it.” You mumbled, pointing to the window. Jongdae looked up to see the hues of the sunset melding with what was once a black sky. Though it certainly was a beautiful sight, and as cliché as it seemed to even himself, Jongdae much preferred to watch you instead. The way you smiled softly at the sky and closed your eyes in content. As you rested your head against Jongdae’s chest, he pressed a kiss to your hair.
“I love you.”
“I love you too. Now, let’s get some sleep, hm?”
Jongdae wished he could keep this memory in his pocket forever.
