Donghyuck’s favorite time of day to be outside was midnight when the only light to be found was the light of the moon. The serenity of a peaceful clearing when all of nature was asleep except for him was what got him to relax, alone and finally free of society’s strict expectations. Or so he thought.
Chenle was a faery. Not a faery from a children’s story but the supernatural creature. Chenle was like most faeries, cunning, a trickster, and very very playful. He delighted in tricking humans, both those who knew who what he was and those who did not.
The day Donghyuck met Chenle, it was midnight, in a small clearing off the side of the park, and Donghyuck thought he was alone. He didn’t know what Chenle was, but he was drawn in by the faery’s unearthly beauty. He was almost too pretty to be real. But perhaps he was.
It was Chenle’s biggest scheme yet. He hadn’t been around for too long, he was on the younger side in Faerieland, and he had never tried to pull off as big a trick as this one. He was going to make a human fall in love with him.
And what better human than the one that frequented Chenle’s favorite clearing, alone?
For a while the scheme went on, Chenle didn’t reveal a thing. The two became friends, quite fast, actually.
In the end, Chenle succeeded. Donghyuck had fallen in love with him.
One problem remained, however. Chenle may or may not have fallen for Donghyuck in the middle of his scheme. Well, that wasn’t part of the plan.
