There's maybe something rattling around wayyy back in my brain... lemme see if Facebook has any clues. oOOOOOh omg yes okay Drew was in a group of friends that had a couple overlap points with my group of friends. It was a bunch of nerdy idiot boys who got together to watch Bleach, occasionally broke out into barbershop-quartet songs, made silly movies in their backyard, would go to parks in the middle of the night to play hot lava tag, and somehow got several chairs and a fucking couch up into the disused third-story belltower of a middle school that had long ago been a church. I occasionally found myself playing the part of Haruhi with them, but without all the romantic complications. ie it was a group of boy dorks and one tiny girl who was occasionally also mistaken for a boy. The sad part is that they did that thing where they'd act like their normal bawdy, nerdy, hilarious selves when it was just me and sometimes one other female friend who was also kinda butch (not physically, she just played hockey and made model TIE-fighters and swore like a sailor and stuff) around, but as soon as "the girlfriends" showed up they locked up and got all boring. Ah, high school gender politics. 

Anyway, I never knew Drew specifically very well, but years later me and that same female friend ran into him at a bar. He was completely blended and it took us all a while to figure out why we recognized each other. It was pretty hilarious, tbh.
