Sidecar Lingo Adding cognac, lemon juice, orange liqueur, and cherry liquor creates a tasty variation on the classic sidecar cocktail.
Dr. McGillicuddy’s Cherry Liquor
Cherry is one of my favorite flavors, possibly my favorite fruit flavor. The deep, thick (and THICC) sweetness that pops with the kind of tartness only lemons can rival is the tops for me. An infuriating issue I run into is that for as often as I find amazing cherry flavor, I just as easily find the horrible cough-syrup flavor, which is the epitome of the word cloying. This is a surprising medium between those two polar options. It’s not my favorite kind of cherry flavor, but at least it’s not the super fake stuff. It’s still VERY sweet, and mixed with anything even remotely sweet, it would quickly tip the balance into being cloyingly sweet. It’s not terrible to drink on its own, but much better with a light clear bubbly base like sprite or seltzer. 3/5
