Day #29
Recoil/Release by Cheshyr
Summary: When Keith is bitten by an alien creature with venom that causes your dominant emotions to be amplified, the team is ready for a day of dealing with an incredibly angry paladin.
Which means they're not ready at all for what actually happens.
My notes: And thus continues this apparent Keith rec list. Dios. But I can’t not recommend this fic because it is so damn bloody good.
Anger is not Keith’s driving emotion at all. It’s fear. And it is delicious. This fic is full of my own personal favorite headcanons of Keith coming from several abusive foster home situations and seeing him slowly be forced to give into that base emotion as the “venom” runs is course is both heartbreaking and so so whumpy and good.
But this story, while about Keith, is about the team coming together (ultimately) and being there for one another and learning about what “trust” is and how they are a family. Just a beautiful story. ♥
