A sick Yaku meant many things. Someone else has to be in charge of refilling the water bottles. Shibayama will have to be the team’s libero for the day. Lastly, someone will have to run receive drills with Lev. Who better, really, than the team captain? Spiking drills are Lev’s favorite. Aside from spiking itself, nothing is more satisfying than receiving a good spike, even if he’s not that stellar at it. Despite his fondness for the drill, Lev finds himself distracted by the thought that his mother will be making oinarisan tonight, and instead receives the ball with his face, causing him to fall backwards. It doesn’t take long for him to come to. He tries to stand but finds the room is spinning, so he elects to stay sitting. Regardless, Lev is positively beaming at Kuroo.

“Senpai, that spike was amazing! When I get up, you gotta show me how to do that, okay? Please?” He takes no note of the blood dripping out of his nose. “Just give me a moment! I’ll be fine!”
