For the snippet game I would love to see some of Cuffed and I would wait a thousand years. Grace x Judd have taken over my life
So excited every time I find someone else that’s live has been overtaken by Judd/Grace. Here’s a snip of “I Would Wait a Thousand Years”.
So, Judd stopped arguing, knowing that the more that he talked, the more winded he’d become and the less probable it’d become that he’d make it home to Grace. Judd had seen firsthand what losing your spouse in the line of duty could do to a person, the ways that it could tear a family apart. That’s the last thing that he wanted to do to Grace, especially now that they were finally trying to start a family together.
It was all he could think about, growing their family together, and how incredible Grace would be as a mom. He could practically see her holding their baby in her arms, after all the practice she’d had with Charles and Tommy’s girls, and he wondered how much like Grace their kids would be. If they’d have her smile, or laugh. More importantly, he wondered if they’d have her stubbornness, determination, and strength.
Judd’s blinks slowed as he let those images surround him, a picture of a family that might never exist. Grace’s words to him became more muffled until he felt like he was underwater.
I actually ended up renaming this, and it was posted on AO3 here.
And for Cuffed, it’s Part 3 in the Made for Your Love series, here’s a snippet of that one, too:
Grace silently takes the handcuffs and blindfold out of the box, setting them on the bed before closing the lid. It’s only a few minutes later when Judd appears in the doorway. “Grace?”
She glances up to to observe Judd as he stands in the doorway, with a guilty expression on his face, his brow pinched together a little. “I’m sorry about earlier. You put a lot of thought into dinner, and I was just—oblivious, and too wrapped up in my own stuff to think about you.”
“Not the first time this week,” she points out, not unkindly, then crosses the room to meet him in the doorway.
Judd dips his head down, wrapping his arm around her lower back to draw her in, his other hand cradling her cheek. His kiss is soft and light, an apology.
