i bought a pair of 9" circulars and i am IN LOVE. they are SO FAST and SO CONSISTENT. it was a little bit awkward at first but after a few minutes i settled into them and. not to be repetitive, but. I AM IN LOVE.

buying 9" circulars in every size ever is going on my bucket list of Things That Will Never Happen Outside of My Daydreams.

(they're also my first ever chiagoos and AHH they're incredible. points are so pointy. cables are so bendy. just. so amazing.)

I don’t go to the yarn store often, and when I do it’s usually to buy yarn. Amazingly...I came out without buying yarn.

I am both impressed and disappointed at my lack of new yarn this time

I ended up buying a pack of ChiaGoo needles! It comes with a fair bit of stuff! It was $160AUD from YarnTrader!

It’s got:

- 2.75mm (US 2) needle tips

- 3.25mm (US 3) needle tips

- 3.50mm (US 4) needle tips

- 3.75mm (US 5) needle tips

- 4.00mm(US 6) needle tips

- 4.50mm (US 7) needle tips

- 5.00mm (US 8) needle tips

- 14” small cable

- 22” small cable

- 30” small cable

- a small handful of medium and small stitch markers (full circle/enclosed)

- ChiaGoo 5”/12cm ruler, with holes to help you determine the gauge of unmarked needles! Super handy!

Ive transfered my scarf project to the 3.50 needles and am casting on a new project onto my 3.75 set!

When she's no longer a #WiP & has become a #FinishedObject The pattern is called Leaves and More Leaves by #carolynwyborny and it's available in the Summer 2022 edition of #interweavemagazine The pattern calls for the use of interchangeable circular needles, so it was #chiagoo to the rescue! I'll be using the same yarn as I did for the last lace shawl project, #knitpicks #alpacacloud in the colorways Thomas (black), Alfred (grey), and Mary (red)! After I completed the center triangle and took the needle tips off the cable, I picked up the stitches along the 2 long sides and started working the 1st of 2 lace charts. I finished the 1st set of lace charts (the grey section) & sent an update to my client, who expressed a desire for the shawl to be longer, so I added about 20 rows of garter stitch (that's the second section in black) & spent a fair few days working on the edge lace (red yarn with black beads) I have to say, this pattern is quite challenging to read, even for an experienced knitter. I wish there were diagrams along with the pattern, especially given that it calls for you to knit in multiple directions. Also the photos of the finished project in the magazine are all in one color of yarn and you can not see any beads in it.
