HAHAHAHA Kelly's face when he sees Stella's husband
hi-everyone-this-is-anna this is for your second ask: Chicago Fire
Favorite character: Kelly Severide. :)
Least Favorite character: None of the regulars. There were a few characters that stayed for a few-episodes-long arcs that I didn’t like, but they don’t really count for this meme, methinks.
5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon): Severide & Shay, the most beautiful friendship in the world (also one of the most painful), Severide & Casey, Linseride (it’s a crossover ship with Chicago PD), DAWSEY! (still not a shipper, no-no. But they are so sweeeeet... and they’re gonna have a *spoiler* !), Brett/Roman (a new thing and also a x-over, but it has a potential to be hot!), oh and how could I forget Mouch/Trudy !
Character I find most attractive: Kelly :) Matt (Casey) is not bad either. ;) April Sexton, but she’s going to be on Chicago Med. I love the new girl -- Chili. Heck, Herrmann is attractive in his own way, but more for the character he is, than for his looks. CHIEF BODEN!
Character I would marry: NONE! I’m not insane thank you very much. I wouldn’t want to have a husband (or wife) who goes for 24-hours long shifts, where he has to put everything behind, and risk his life to save other peoplez. I mean it’s brave and all, and a reason to be proud of your significant other, but... I’m not mentally strong enough.
Character I would be best friends with: Gabby. Because I cling to the talkative, friendly types. I don’t know if she would like me though. If not, maybe Sylvie. I would probably hang out with both of them, they would talk and laugh and I would pretend that I participate and hope no one would notice how awkward I am, lol.
a random thought: November? Really? NOVEMBER???
An unpopular opinion: I think Casey was an ass toward Severide in the final episodes of S3. Severide wasn’t without guilt, but what Casey said -- two things -- were a low blow.
my canon OTP: Dawsey. :D
Non-canon OTP: Linseride, becasue it was canon, but it’s over now. :(
most badass character: CHIEF BODEN! That’s how the boss should be. What he did in the finale was also a little unexpected, maybe that’s why he feels so badass to me now. I didn’t think he was capable of pulling of shit like that. Seriously. BADASS.
pairing I am not a fan of: Dawson / Mills. They felt bland to me and I’m glad it’s over
character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): Shay. On the other hand, I liked Season 3 storyline. But I miss Shay.
favourite friendship: Severide & Shay
character I want to adopt or be adopted by: They’re all adults. If I was younger I might trust Herrmann to adopt me.
Thank you Anna! Are you watching or do you want to watch ChiFire?

This gif is perfect btw, b&w fits this desolate feeling so well...
It made me think about this scene again and about how Severide insisted thathe didn't remember anything. Like, what would be the point of showingflashbacks of Shay if he were to just forget them? It's contradictory. And then, his face in that final shot gif...
From the promos, I had the impression that his act -- the jumping on grenade thing -- was supposed to be so heroic, like, he saved everybody, it would be so much worse if he didn't or something, but it didn't quite add up. He pushed the guy away and landed on the opposite side of the chair, and then the grenade exploded anyway. And... weren't there people too, closer to where the blast hit?
I thought I'd wait for the episode and maybe some clearer pictures, because maybe I was wrong and Severide pushed the guy in a "less populated" area. Then, it would either be shown, or someone would have mentioned how the firefighter was so heroic. Neither of those things happened.
All he did, was push April away.
And then, in that final conversation it all became clear – yes, all he did was save April, save his friend, no one else. Simply because he could not survive losing another friend. That's why Shay and that's why I am certain that he knows exactly what he had done and he knows how fucked up it is. Because, like it or not, hero firefighter show or not – throwing yourself on a live grenade to protect someone else is fucked up. I get it if it's a love of your life or your child, and even then, survival instinct is hard to overcome. April is just a long lost friend he started talking to again, a couple of weeks ago. There is something else going on.
Oh, one more thing. In the previews they cut their earlier conversations to April saying: "When I look at you, I see that guy – the one who shut me out." What he did right there, with "I don't remember any of it", was exactly the same thing – shutting everyone out. No one will ask why he jumped on a live grenade if he doesn't remember that he did it. But he does remember and it will eat him from the inside.
Here's the winning goal from #Adaílton in yesterday's match versus the Union. What a great feeling to get our first 3 points of the season! Can't wait to get 3 more against TFC on Saturday! #cf97 #cf97blog #COCF #CHIvsPHI #MLS #ChiFire (at Toyota Park)
