Omg your writing is amazing! Could you do prompt 3 for the Villain x civilian, the one with the baseball bat?
This, wow... The story carried on by itself here! I will making corrections later, but wanted to post! Hot off the press! Enjoy! Thank you for liking my writing! I try my best! T^T
It would be embarrassing if his brother’s saw him right now, hands tied behind his back so it was hard to get undone. The man before him had mentioned something of combatives when he planned to seek refugee in the home from the ‘hero’ of the city--though their justice brings a grey area.
“Do you really think you can hold me, yoi?” The villain asks with brows raised, hooded blue eyes glancing to the man that has a baseball bat now.
“I will hit you,” the scowl stays as no fear shows in dark eyes and protectively keeps his stance to keep the villain to the back door more than the rest of the home.
A smirk shows on full lips as the villain only has a mask over the top half of his face. “Do you really think that will do a thing? By the moment you saw me you should know that I am the Phoenix. Also what I am capable of.” Phoenix comments haughtily about his powers being that of not only destruction with talons and strength, but also healing when he is injured. If anything, he could probably break out, but he was caught off guard and amused by what was happening that he didn’t mind catching this man’s name, or number.
“Doesn’t change anything,” lips purse as the homeowner’s throat bobs as he is nervous, but would stand his ground.
Shifting confidentially, Phoenix draws closer with head tilting as he watches the man in amusement. “I have to say, I’m impressed you got me tangled up. I appreciate someone who can work with what they got, yoi.” A cooing lingers, the villain on the verge of wanting to flaunt to the man tightening his grip on his bat as he strides closer. “Untie my hands, if you will. Then just maybe I won’t tear your kitchen apart...” The threat lingers, though blue eyes dance in a way that showed he would rather tear something else up that would surely lead to fun.
“Like hell!” The snap of the bat is a wake up call for Phoenix as he stumbles to land ungracefully to the ground from the hit to his face and the homeowner shifts with bat still a weapon.
“Ace?” The tired tone trails along from the doorway, having the mentioned man snap his head to the side while shifting.
“Go back to bed, Lu.” A soft whine is heard as if a younger child is mentioned to go hurry out of the room, leaving Ace to glare to the villain. Phoenix had a clear head once the civilian ushered the younger boy out.
“Ah, that’s why you were keen on getting me out, yoi.”
“Shut up and get out!” The bat is raised as threat and he shifts his stance like he was about to swing for a baseball.
“Former baseball player? You got a good swing on you.”
“Star batter,” Ace mentions as he makes it a threat before Phoenix shifts to sit up and watches the other.
“Let me hang around for a while in the kitchen. I won’t cause trouble, yoi. The ‘heroes’ are just on a justice rampage...”
“You all are the same, hero or villain... People like us get caught in the crossfire of your madness and battles. Only leaving us hurt for no reason... I don’t trust either side.” A snarl shows that Phoenix can tell something lies deeper in those words that brought the mistrust.
“I’ll stayed tied up until it calms down out there.” Phoenix replies with honesty in his tone and keeping still as Ace can see his hands still bound.
Confusion leaves Ace, staring with shoulders laxing a little, but kept his defense up. Glancing to the clock, Ace soon shifts nervously and pursing lips a bit as if contemplating something. “You have until five in the morning, no later.” Ace states swiftly with bat resting to a shoulder and eyeing the villain.
“Of course, though I shouldn’t be here that long... You need rest as well.” The comment is mentioned while Phoenix tilts his head as he views along the homeowner more at the nervous posture. “Will someone be coming over by then?” The question lingers and notices tension hike up with grip to the bat with his one hand and nervously looking to him.
“It’s nothing, just get out before then.”
That last statement has Ace move to get something to munch on, not once letting the bat go far and his eyes in view of the villain. Phoenix merely watched as the man got his sandwich and sat to the table to eat and drink some water. It looked nice, but the villain wasn’t pushing his luck at this moment. They sit in relative silence before Ace is wincing with hand rubbing to the back of his neck and keeping his chair farther away from the villain. Phoenix immediately notices the antsy shifting and how Ace looks to be in pain with having the villain there, seeing all the signs before.
“You are suppressed, yoi.” The head snaps up, Ace looking to him in surprise before quickly looking away with a scowl. “We had many come to us wanting to be free from government control...”
“I don’t have a choice...” Ace interrupts softly and glaring to the table and ignores the throbbing in his neck. “My power is too much for me to handle...” Phoenix stares with cooing and tilting his head in curiosity.
“No power is too much with practice, nothing comes naturally...”
“Yeah, until it hurts someone close to you...” The whisper drags heavily in the air, dark eyes softening as he looks to the table with pursed lips, a burden weighing his shoulders down.
“The young boy?”
“No... they are... they are not a-allowed near me...” Pain lingers on the freckled face with hand moving along his face and ruffling his hair as he snaps quickly in anger. “Stop it! I’m not letting you guilt trip me! I decided this for me! It is the only way to earn back... to earn back my privileges to see him again!” Ace stands with a heated glare while being taut and there is a glow in dark eyes like embers. “Don’t ruin that for me!” Mouth glowing, a jerk leaves Ace before gripping to his neck with a whimper and he shifts with hand to the table as he moves to face away with trembles. “F-fuck... calm... calm... count waves...” Rambles leave Ace as he takes in shaky breaths and collapses sideways into a chair to breathe. Freckles noticeable on his arms look to almost glow before snuffing out and Phoenix knows it is part of his power. It never truly smothers it, but blocks most of it unless it were to break free from too much stress or emotional debate.
Phoenix hated seeing the other in such pain, knowing that whatever Ace did was most likely not on purpose, but was treated that way. The way his frame trembles as he made deep breaths and comments lightly of the ocean, countering whatever his power is. Blue eyes linger along Ace as if taking him in, knowing how the government controlled the populace that had powers and tried to make it seem like something bad, only villains become like that or you become a hero to fight the ones trying to fight the ‘justice’ of the government. It was messed up, making Ace right on civilians in the crossfire a whole lot, but this was also close to home. Ace hurt someone, not on purpose, with his powers and the government gave punishment until he got it under control, mostly under their control. No doubt they would use whatever Ace had for their advantage later on.
“What is it?” Phoenix asks curiously as the other had calmed enough to slouch to the table.
“Nothing, I have nothing...” The mutters are trained words for those suppressed and it pains Phoenix to see.
“An official is stopping in the morning, aren’t they? That’s why you want me gone then, yoi.” Ace hadn’t moved at the mentioning and Phoenix knows he is right while shifting a little. “You would be in trouble... harboring a villain.”
“I will throw you out...”
“Then do it...” Phoenix comments, getting the head to lift as dark eyes glare heavily before hands move to rub at his face. “You are conflicted because you know I am right on the justice being that of false.”
“No, I just... I just feel bad is all. You are misled is all.”
“Why do you lie to yourself, yoi? I can clearly see on your face that you know the truth.” The comment has Ace look away, saying nothing and somewhat afraid to as he soon grips to the back of his neck. “They are using you... Using that string of seeing your close one to reel you in and do their bidding.”
“I know... I’m already in training...” The whisper lingers, Phoenix knowing he means to be a ‘hero’.
“But limiting your power...”
“Not having it at all... Like I said... it’s too much for anyone to handle.” The words are strained, seeming to affect him more over the time he has been suppressed and Phoenix gives a reassuring smile.
“We can.”
Ace not only unlocks his haki on dawn island- but uses it there too. (With Luffy maybe learning this mystery power through observation).
This is very different! Hope you likey~!
Ever since the fire and losing Sabo, Ace knew his power was completely raw and spontaneous. This new power he discovered, he feels like he knew what it was, but at the same time he had no clue. If anything, he knew that Sabo would have known the name for it as he dug so much into the world, but they had lost him months ago trying to sail out early. Part of Ace didn’t want to believe he actually lost a brother, but he tries not to dwell on it and stay strong for Luffy.
Like now, he found that Luffy somewhat knew the power as well, but his seemed to be more suppressed.
“That’s so cool, Ace!” The younger brother cheers with hands clapping and feet joining as he rocks back with a grin.
“I kind of like how you juST SAT THERE WHILE A RHINO TRIED TO MAUL ME!!” Ace practically screeches with huffs, glaring to Luffy that is laughing on the branch. Moving, Ace jumps with his pipe, splotches of dark coating on it as he swings it down. Luffy evades it with a yelp, just barely making it out of the way.
“ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL ME?!” The younger shouts with gasps and sees the other stand with a huff and pinky in his ear to pick at.
“You avoided it,” dark eyes look to the finger and started rolling the wax found in his ear.
“Ace~!” The whine comes out while Luffy lays along the log with kicks. “You know the dark pipe always hurts me!”
“That’s the point, stupid!” Ace replies with a flicker of his finger and soon going over and sitting next to the other. Luffy moves to lean against his shoulder with a playful hum that is completely out of tune and high key.
“I’m hungry.” The words trail out as Luffy quieted down and knew that he should for the moment, sensing the other trying to reminisce–no doubt about their other brother as it happens often.
“Well I did get us a rhino, so that should be good until dinner.” Ace mentions, neither moving quite yet, and Luffy wraps arms around one of his brothers.
“You’re really cool, Ace…”
