What's your favorite child!tim hc's?

O h that’s actually a hard question because technically his entire existence is a headcanon due to the fact that all we get is the abandoned and burnt down hospital layout and his redacted medical records!

And I mean… the hospital could’ve been fine and normal and he hated it due to being abandoned there by his mom, but I decided to have one of the worst possible things happen to him so! Oops!

Headcanons under the cut because this whole part of his life is triggering!! 

tws for: eating disorders/issues, self-harm, physical abuse, (implied) sexual abuse, needles, psychosis (not being able to tell if things are real, hallucinations, paranoia), body image issues, illness/sickness, neglect

It may be Alabama, but is he constantly wearing layers and wrapping blankets around himself because he feels uncomfortable? Yes!

Despite only being able to enjoy the little things in life, many of the little things in life are ruined for him. Smells that are supposed to be pleasant make him throw up. Some mindless kids tv shows make him have to leave the room. 

He is fluent in Latin. Everyone in the hospital is. 

Due to his hallucinations, he has to touch people to see if they’re really there or not. In college, his friends have gotten used to it (it’s usually just a shoulder tap or a brush against their hand). 

He counts the steps people are taking down his hallway. He knows exactly who is who without a second thought. He still counts steps out of habit, especially when it’s quiet or when he’s nervous, and he may or may not be able to tell his friends in college apart by their footsteps. 

He hides razors everywhere! He’s one of the main suppliers of razor blades in his wing! 

The hospital’s water isn’t clean unless they give it to you, so people get sick a lot! Tim got lead poisoning his first week there because of someone sneaking pencil lead into his water! (They buy lead pencils instead of graphite because it’s cheaper).

He’s used to going to bed hungry. He’s used to starving. The food is edible, but he doesn’t get anything else, who says the food won’t be poisoned and hurt him too? He likes to push himself until things start to go black. 

Most rooms have two people in them, but he’s only ever had to share a room temporarily due to being one of Lee’s favorites. Easy access. 

Due to constant blood testing (to try and figure out what’s wrong with him and to make sure he’s not overdosing on medicine), sometimes he feels needles on his skin when they’re not there. 

Due to the lack of food, he chews on his shirt sleeves/hoodie strings a lot. Even though he doesn’t like the feeling of it in his mouth and will stop when he notices, this habit continues on later in life. 

The deep, raised scars on his arms aren’t caused by him. The ones on his stomach and legs are. 

He flinches when he is touched. 

His voice has given out from screaming before. 

There are no clocks in the hospital. Only the doctors and nurses have watches. The date is only ever told over the PA system and by what it looks like outside. 

Most of the mirrors in the hospital have been smashed by the patients. 

He is used to being tied up and left places. It is not pleasant, but it is expected. 

He can get into and out of a straitjacket by himself. 

The maintenance tunnels are where he goes to escape. It’s the only place the staff doesn’t look for escaped patients due to it being so dark and dangerous. 

His sense of taste is destroyed due to smoking, his medication, and eating things that aren’t meant to be eaten.

I SURE AM!!!! I just keep getting distracted I am very sorry!!

One very recent one is that the hospital might have branded (like... the thing with the hot metal and the designs) the patients with either the hospital name (Jemison) or their logo/some other mark because the "trying to escape" problem got really bad and so that made it easier to identify people!

While I'm not sure what their logo would be/what symbol they would use, it's certainly an idea!

If anyone sees these child!Tim posts please remember that I KNOW mental hospitals are good!!!! They help people!!! It's just that this one is in the middle of the woods and is owned by a twisted and disgusting man and it's shady and it was burnt down for a reason!!!

I know I joke about being cancelled for posting stuff sometimes but I really want to make this clear that I KNOW it's a bad trope and I KNOW I'm doing it anyways even though I shouldn't be
