The one leaked beta Pokémon that could become any other one reminded me of this one I made up as a kid, “Emburro”. No, it wasn’t a fire donkey, it was a thing meant to look like a creature made of egg innards, white-ish transparent body with a firey orange inside. You could only obtain it by managing to hatch an egg too early, it was basically a fetus. You could either let it become what it was supposed to be, or keep it an egg-beast and let it evolve into a weird wyvern thing instead. For some reason it was water/fire, even though I’m pretty sure normal typing would make much more sense.
If I were to remake it, I’d probably base it off an actual embryo, since younger me thought the embryo was just the yolk and whites, not a developing animal, and I don’t know if I’d keep the wyvern evolution thing.
Sometimes I’m like “was I nearly as progressive as a teen as I am now?” And in some ways no of course not, but I also decided to write a short story about a female school janitor who murdered men who creeped on girls and submitted it to my college and earned myself like a $1,000 scholarship for every year of college.
So like, 17 year old me wasn’t so bad.

When I was 5 or 6 my grandpa gave me the skull of a deer he had killed, and it became my best friend. I named him Dimselskul and decorated him with markers and plastic sticker jewels. I used to sleep with him at night because I thought he would use his antlers to protect me from ghosts. ✨
