next up on things about gallifrey i'm going to think too hard about and then not get an answer for: where does this series stand on looms vs biological children
#it seems to occupy some weird space in the middle#because we have the houses and it seems that people are referred to as being a cousin of their house#but then we do also hear about closer familial relations#both inside houses and outside of the context of them#and there's also the bit with there being a part of gallifrey that doesn't have houses#and then in appropriation we hear janartis say the word children with a good bit of what i'd call disgust behind it#and in erasure narvin has the whole time tots vs children thing#but it still seems like there are sort of children on gallifrey but they aren't treated as children in the same way that other species#children are#like time tots seem to be their own thing#gallifrey does tend to be more in line with show lore though#but again they do have the houses getting mentioned#they even mention dvora which from my impression of it is pretty exclusively a faction paradox thing#though correct me if i'm wrong on that#gallifrey#j rambles
