My 2016 Resolution #5: Walk & Bike
Here’s why it’s so good to walk or bike…
Source
Look at some games and activities you can do while walking or biking to make it an enjoyable outdoor time!
A player chooses a visible object and says, “I spy with my little eye, something beginning with…”.
The player fills the blank with first letter of the name of the object (e.g. “T” for Trees).
The rest guess the object and the player can only answer with a yes or a no.
The aim is to tell a story which has to include five words chosen by fellow players.
You can choose things you see like, a. Squirrel b. Bus c. Grass d. Cloud e. Nuts
Once someone decides on the 5 words, the selected player has to make a story using them.
Try to make the story as funny as possible.
Then it’s the story maker’s turn to give 5 words to the next player.
Walk in silly ways, like an animal will walk.
Take turns to decide how to walk until you reach the next landmark (e.g. gate, tree).
– Monkey – swinging arms and bandy legs.
Penguin – Feet close to each other and moving body left and right.
– Lion – fingers clawed and strong movements
– Horse – nodding head and galloping
– Crocodile – arms stretched out in front, opening and closing to imitate jaws.
Imitate sounds of the animals for added affect!
A player chooses an object on the walk pathway and says, “First one to find a …”. (eg. Red leaf)
The rest run to find the object and the winner then chooses the next object to find.
