My lil chilli flowers and fruits starting to grow 💖

Each morning I'm not reminded of the concrete around me or the bustling busses every 10 minutes, but of the jungle that lives inside. I prune and water and give them my carbon dioxide. They clean my air and provide comfort and sanity. Sometimes I never wanna leave.

11 of thirteen chilli seeds sprouted. Six came up into vigorous plants. Five put out a good number of chillis, more than 30 collectively. One has just turned red in the last day, all at once.

All of them have aphids 😖

A medium hot variety.

A few gaps in your veg plot?

We still have lots of veg plants, tomato plants and tomato hanging baskets.

We plant our tomatoes and veg into Levington M3 compost.

Tomatoes and chilli 🌶 need plenty of food when they start to flower. We recommend Vitax fruit and flower which is much stronger than traditional tomato feed.

Chilli

The first batch of chilli and peppers are ready.

More varieties will be ready soon.

These are in the heated greenhouse, as they like plenty of warmth.

If planting in a pot, approximately 16inch we plant with osmocote slow release fertiliser, water retaining gel and Levington M3 compost.

We have lots more veg ready in the heated greenhouse. We are sowing and growing all the time now, so plenty more to come.
