'Chimalma' by Ravyn LaRue

I take pride in things like this.

The soft vulnerability.

The crying.

The blood and fatness of femininity.

It's why I am comfortable as I am.

I could never be a soldier.

I'll never be something expected to be strong.

I am strong, that's the thing.

If I were a weakling I couldn't be this open.

If I were weak I wouldn't have emotions.

I take pride in softness- it makes me malleable to life.

I like this softness and gore.

Gore is a feminine thing, truly it is.

Men merely feign interest; we're used to it.

I'm proud to be strong enough to be soft and maternal.

Strong enough to protect another being.

What a wonderful thing to be.
