Angel Jimin Series ~
When bullies hurt his friend, Jimin begins to notice his angel powers for a second time...
“Last one to the top is a rotten egg!!!”
Jimin sprinted his way to the climbing wall and scrambled his way up; heart pounding out of his chest. The race had taken him by surprise again. Still, he hated to lose to a girl and would make sure that he would be the one to win… He cried out in frustration when Y/N threw her arms up in the air on top of the platform just as he climbed on.
“You're the rotten egg!! Rotten egg Jiminie!!!” You chanted, bouncing up and down gleefully.
His six year old self seemed very down spirited by this. Until he turned to you with a mischievous grin.
“Last one to get to the swings is the really rotten egg!!!!!”
He flung himself down the fireman's pole and quickly stepped through the tyres, then onwards over the monkey bars. You were never two steps behind; strong and nimble enough to keep up although it was a struggle. The determining factor was always the balancing logs right at the end. You didn't know what it was, but he always managed to beat you on those as if he had a supernatural balance which allowed him to run normally across. And so the trick was to gain on him before you got there…
“Hey!!!”
You laughed cheekily as Jimin stumbled from your shove and you got to the balancing logs first. There wasn't any time to lose however so you bit down on your lip in concentration and walked quickly across. You were almost off when Jimin leapt off of his own log and sprinted the last leg to the swings.
“I won!!! You're the rotten egg now,” he grinned.
“No fair,” you pouted back.
“How is that not fair?! You're the one who pushed me.”
You giggled evilly and stared into Jimin’s unimpressed eyes; tempted to reach out and pinch his chubby cheeks. The moment was interrupted when you and your friend’s least favourite classmates came sauntering up.
“Hey guys, look at the love birds back at it again,” the loudest of the group of boys pointed at the two of you.
“You come to the quiet playground to have some smoochey smoochies, don't you, baby face?” Another boy taunted Jimin.
You could sense your friend’s fists beginning to clench but felt too embarrassed to do anything.
“You looooveeee each other, don't you?”
“Mind your own business,” Jimin spat.
“Oooh someone's getting defensive,” the boys laughed, circling around the two of you and occasionally tugging on your hair or clothes, or whacking Jimin over the head.
“I bet you want to kiss her, baby face.”
The group started making exaggerated kissing sounds; your face turning a scarlet red.
“That's not true!!!” You shouted, hot with passionate anger and embarrassment.
It only made them laugh louder. One of the big seven year olds came up and gave you a big shove backwards. A little shriek left your lips as you hit the edge of the swing and then fell back onto your backside.
“Leave her alone!!!!!!!” Jimin shouted into their faces; grabbing the closest one in a firm grip before tossing him back a few steps.
They laughed again, but you could tell that they were actually a little afraid of how angry he was.
“Whoa, calm down. It's just a joke, baby face.”
Slowly they wandered away, bored of their own stupidity. Nervous of what Jimin would do, more likely.
“Did they hurt you?” He asked, a bitter edge to his voice.
“My back and elbow,” you told him in a wavering voice.
His tense body came over to you, crouching down to inspect the damage. There was a forming lump on your elbow, and a bleeding cut on your lower back where you had hit the swing. Jimin helped you up and walked you carefully over to one of the logs.
“Can you walk to the sickbay?” He asked seriously, thinking this as a medical emergency in his six year old brain.
Slowly you nodded, but didn't stand up when he tried to help you.
“I don't wanna go just yet,” you said, still on the verge of tears. “People might see me crying.”
Jimin settled back; a mix of humiliation concern, and anger. No body was allowed to just wander up and bully him and his friend. One day he was going to get them, and get them good…
“How are your elbow and back now?”
Sorely, you held up your arm for him to see. Carefully, he took it and looked it over - poking it slightly. You winced.
“I hate them,” he announced, continuing to gently thumb over the wound. “They are no gooders and very mean.”
“Yeah,” you agreed. “Very mean.”
“I wish the teacher would tell them off more,” he continued, still fuming. “They're always distracting me in class.”
You watched him while he continued to seriously inspect your arm, feeling a little strange. If you were seeing things correctly, his skin was glowing slightly more than usual.
“My mom told the teachers but they never did anything about them.”
“I think my arm is better now,” you interrupted; pulling it away from him with a feeling of disconcertion.
Jimin stopped his rant with big eyes directed at your elbow. Confused, you tilted it in a way that you could see, too.
“Hey, where'd the lump go?”
“It's gone,” Jimin replied, eyebrows furrowed in confusion. “It was all big and lumpy before…”
A somersault of butterflies rolled over in your stomach as you stared at your friend. Then you turned away from him, lifting the back of your shirt.
“What about my back?”
There was a moment’s hesitation.
“It's gone, too…”
“What?” You turned back to him, feeling the wound to know for yourself. “But how?”
“I don't know.”
Jimin put a hand to his wrist as if it hurt. He seemed very troubled. Then he turned to you with a serious expression.
“I have a secret to tell you that you can never tell anyone else, okay?”
“Okay.”
“Pinky promise?”
You hesitated, wanting to take a loyal oath within yourself before making such a commitment.
“Pinky promise.”
You linked fingers before Jimin proceeded to tell his secret.
“One day, a really long time ago before I came to school, I went into dad’s office to get his glasses for him. I saw a really awesome pocket knife on his desk. I wanted to open it up to see all the different things it had on it, but the blade came out too quickly and cut me. It really hurt and I bled lots, but I was mostly scared because dad would know that I had played with his knife. I tried to wipe the blood away with my shirt, but more would come. When I held my finger in my other hand to find dad’s glasses quickly, I felt a weird tingle and looked at it. It was gone! There was no blood anywhere, except on dad’s knife and my shirt, but the cut and everything was gone.”
You watched him with enormous eyes; shocked by his story.
“Gone? But that's unpossible!”
Jimin stared off into the distance; deep in thought for his young years.
“I don't know how. But now it's happened to me, and to you. Y/N,” he glanced at you as if the world depended on him, “I'm going to learn why and how. And I'm not going to let those bullies push us around anymore. I'll be your guardian.”
Your mouth curved into a little delighted smile.
“My guardian angel?”
He nodded, slowly at first but then more confidently.
“Yeah, your guardian angel.”
The excitement built inside of you as you tugged on his sleeve and pulled him to his feet.
“Come on, let's play that you're the angel and I need you to come help me look after some people.”
Jimin followed obediently; as happy about this new game as you were, and still bubbling with importance over his responsibility.

Heya! I literally got inspiration for an angel Jimin series this evening and then set to work :P. So yeah, the plan is to write stories about him as he grows up and learns how to and how not to use his abilities :P. Haven’t done much on this genre before tbh but I think we all needed some angel Jimin in our lives. Plus I’ll work on a better title for the series later, but I’m just slightly overtired right now haha. Annddd we are both still working on requests right now. Super sorry about that. I personally suck with forcing inspiration :P.
Enjoy your week!! And let me know if you think this series should become a thing. Also, requests are always still open.
