Brother's Bestfriend

It's been two weeks. Two weeks since you stopped hanging around him and even avoided the area around him. It is not obvious at first but even your brother picked up your awkwardness after several times. It is indeed hard to avoid a person that has almost integrated into your family. Yes, Taehyung is that kinda sweet and weirdly funny boy, easily making him a center of attention anywhere.

You knew Taehyung since you were kids, he is your older brother's friend and has always been present during all the important events in your life. He is handsome, like super handsome with his boxy smile and a face blessed by God. But more than his looks, you admired his outgoing personality and how he can make you laugh even during your episodes of depression. Before you knew it, you realised you'd already started relying on him, crushing on him and maybe even loving him crazily. So you decided to stop tormenting yourself and confess your love during his birthday, two week ago.

You were confident and poured your heart out to the love of your life but the result just broke your heart. "I'm sorry, Y/n", he said with obvious struggle in his eyes. He proceeded to placate or explain maybe but you were just not in a position to hear and drove back home. It wasn't the outcome you expected as you were not confident for nothing, you have seen Tae look at you, its that kind of hard to describe eyes that spoke of love that made you confident but it seems you were mistaken terribly. His rejection came as shock that you cannot even register the heart break yet. But you knew you had to keep away from him if you want to resolve this feelings and recover.

Since then you just stopped being around him and it was obvious to the people around you as you were always your bro and Tae. Your trio is so tight strung that it is practically impossible for another person to include themselves. Your brother asked you multiple times but you just cannot spill your heart, afraid of upsetting him and mostly too embarrassed to share, thus he left you to open up yourself.

Sweet as he was, Tae tried to approach you several times, maybe to comfort you but at this moment, he is like a sweet poison that is shaking your resolve of getting over him. Thus, you just started to ignore him from merely bring awkward and avoiding. You can tell he is hurt but it can't be helped, can it?

This sort of skirting around all the invitations, hangouts and even conversations lasted til the moment of him blocking your door from closing, after another one of your rejection. You struggle to remove his hands from the door edge, you can just shut it and make him let go with pain but you can't bear to hurt him.

"Let go", you mutter with annoyance.

"Certainly, after you agree to let me in and listen", Tae said while grinning, he knew that you won't shut the door in his face no matter how angry you are and you hated it.

"No, I'm not feeling well, let's speak later", you sighed but Tae started panicking, he pleaded, "Please Y/n, just once, listen to what I have to say. I promise I won't bother you anymore, just once".

It pained to see him frown and plead but still decided not to give in, not before you get over him, "I'm sorry Tae, not now, I-I'm trying to get over--"

Tae forced your door open before you could finish your sentence. He closed the door behind him and kissed you aggressively, pinning you against the very door. You were too stunned and thrilled to resist and let him ravage and invade your lips, he kissed like biting as if to release his pent up emotions in the kiss that doesn't resemble his usual sweetness at all. But you can still feel him tremble, reminding you he is still your Tae and he is scared of something.

Yes, Taehyung is scared, how can he not when he knew he may as well end up losing you altogether. He knew you loved him, he saw your cute little crush bud and blossom all the way, he loved the way you fluttered around him and sweetly called his name all day. He also knew that you don't know he feels the same. No, his love for you is even crazier, he always came to your help even before your brother, he fought the boys who bullied you into scampering away at the sight of you, glared daggers at any guy who looked at you and when a guy confessed to you last year, he wanted nothing more than to lock you away in his room so as to have you all to himself. Thankfully you rejected that guy or else Tae would have lost mind.

Just watching you and not have you everyday is a torture to him and you were not making it easier with the way you smile, twirl your skirt shyly and grab his sleeve while talking to him, it is absolute torment and he wanted to possess you inside out as soon as possible.

The only thing that deterred him from stealing you away is your brother. He respected his friend and never wanted to betray him by taking his sister. They are 4 years older than you and Taehyung knew your brother still treated you as a baby. He is scared that your brother will despise him if he took you and wanted to wait and explain to his friend before starting anything.

He knew everything but he didn't know you will confess to him during his birthday. He was caught between absolute exhilaration and torment of not being able to take you right away. He struggled hard to maintain composure and explain his position but maybe he shouldn't have started it with 'I'm sorry', you totally misunderstood and ran away before he said anything.

If not having you was a torment before, you ignoring him amounts to slicing him up wholly. He got scared that you will leave, he hurried to approach you but everytime you pushed him away, he got even more afraid to the point of losing his mind. He stopped caring about boundaries and stopped your door today but when you said you are getting over him, his ears started ringing from anger and fear. If you got over him...if you stopped loving him, he can no longer live.

So he made the decision to let his inner demon out and kiss you against the door, at that moment he decided to make you his own. He can face his friend and your family later, heck your brother can punch him in the face if he wants to, but you, you will be his. He will make sure to tie you to his side amd never let you leave forever.

Taehyung licked your lips to gain access to your mouth, you struggled a bit before letting yourself go. He sucked your tongue and bit your lips before moving his lips to your neck to suck the soft skin while leaving his marks. You are already gasping and collapsed on his chest.

"Don't get over me", he whispered in your ears while supporting your body. You looked at him in astonishment, "What?", you doubt you heard him right. "Don't get over me", he repeated, "I love you".

You pushed him away in shock and looked at him to make sure he's not joking. He looked at you with limpid eyes full of love, wanting to drown you in them. You know he is serious when he looked at you like that. So you asked why he rejected you before, prompting him to explain everything. You wanted to beat yourself for being rampant and almost losing him, you hugged him tightly, "I almost lost you due to my ignorance" you whimpered.

He softly kissed your hair and whispered, "I never planned on losing you, I would even tie you up in my bed if you ever think of running away", he chuckled in amusement at the way you stiffen with a blush and continued, "I may die if you ignore me again, Y/n".

You looked up to see his eyes fill up with hurt and promised that you will never do it again. Taehyung showed you his boxy smile and lowered his head to kiss you again. This time, it was a passionate and sweet kiss that melts your heart. He carried you to the bed and started kissing your neck while slowly sliding his hands up your waist. You suddenly remembered something and stopped him to ask where your brother is, as Taehyung originally came to get you to go dinner together with your brother.

Tae widened his eyes at the same moment your brother whistle from the door, "I saw everything Y/n~". You looked at him in anger while Tae just froze in place.

"Don't worry, I won't call mom and dad hehe", he teased you happily and turned to Tae with a pitying face, "Man, I'm glad you can take away that annoying brat. Why did you worry so much, I would never stop you from loving Y/n, especially since that brat has been drooling over you for years. But what a pity! You're unfortunate enough to be stuck with her".

You grabbed a pillow to throw at his cheeky grin, "Get lost!". He easily caught the pillow and ran away while shouting, "Poor Taehyung!"

You wanted to chase after your brother to teach him a lesson but Taehyung gently embraced you from behind. He laughed happily while burying his face in your neck, "I love you, Y/n. Will you be my girlfriend? I only take yes for the answer".

You laughed gently, "Yes, I love you, Tae. You're stuck with me now~".

a/n: just something I wanted to read so I wrote it don't know if it's good though.><

Taehyung never imagined his life would take such a drastic turn.

One moment, he was the guy who brought home a different girl every weekend. The next, he was standing in a hospital room, staring at a tiny human being who shared his eyes.

A father.

When he first found out — the day she was born — he was a mess. Completely overwhelmed. The word dad felt foreign on his shoulders, too heavy, too permanent. He didn’t know the first thing about raising a child. He could barely keep a houseplant alive.

And Trix, she was gone.

It had felt so unfair back then. So infuriating. She had walked away from the responsibility as if it were nothing, leaving him to rearrange his entire life overnight. They had both created this child. Yet she wanted no part in it.

Their relationship had never been anything serious — just convenience, late nights, blurred lines. He hadn’t known her deeply, but he had believed there was softness beneath her sharp edges. A heart under the “bad girl” exterior.

He had been wrong.

For a long time, anger fueled him. Anger at her freedom. At the way she could continue living exactly as before while he had to grow up in an instant.

But looking at things now, years later, he finds himself feeling something unexpected.

Gratitude.

Because she left Areum with him.

And he can’t imagine a world without her in it.

He’s forgiven Trix — for his own peace, if nothing else — but that doesn’t mean he’d ever allow her back into his daughter’s life. Areum is his world. His responsibility. His greatest blessing.

She changed him.

Softened him.

Saved him, in ways she’ll probably never understand.

Right now, he watches her from the kitchen doorway as she sits on the living room carpet, carefully arranging her toy tea set. Her little body wiggles with excitement as she babbles to her dolls, completely immersed in her imaginary world.

Just looking at her makes his chest ache with love.

“Daddy!”

Her voice snaps him out of his thoughts. She’s staring at him with wide, doe-like eyes that mirror his own.

He melts instantly.

“Yes, my sweet girl?”

“Daddy, the little dollies want you to join us, please,” she says, dragging out the last word with practiced sweetness.

He exhales softly, already defeated. She has him wrapped around her tiny fingers, and he’s not ashamed of it in the slightest.

“Okay, honey. Daddy will join you in a few minutes. I just need to finish cleaning up, alright?”

She nods solemnly. “‘Kay, daddy. We’ll wait.”

How he ended up with such a gentle, patient little soul is beyond him. Of course, she can be dramatic. A little spoiled. A little sassy. But that’s his fault entirely — he’s the one who gives in too easily.

And he doesn’t regret it one bit.

Once he finishes, he joins her on the carpet. The moment he sits down, she scoots closer until her small shoulder presses against his side. The simple gesture makes his heart swell.

She hands him a plastic teacup with utmost seriousness.

“Thank you, little madam,” he teases.

She attempts an exaggerated eye roll — though it looks more like a slow blink — and he chuckles, shaking his head.

When he moves to “drink” the imaginary tea, she gasps and grabs his hand.

“Daddy, you're not s’pose to drink yet!” she giggles. “Dummy daddy doesn’t know how to play tea party.”

He scoffs dramatically. “Ah, forgive me, Your Highness.” He bows his head. “I shall strive to improve.”

She taps her chin thoughtfully, pretending to consider his fate before nodding. “ I forgive you, dad.”

He thinks that’s the end of it — until she suddenly grabs his face with both her hands, squishing his cheeks together until his lips pout.

She bursts into giggles.

“But~,” she sing-songs mischievously, “You have to give me ice cream first.”

He narrows his eyes playfully. “Oh, is that so?”

He presses a kiss to the tip of her nose before replying, “Nice try, princess. No dessert before dinner.”

Her arms cross immediately. A dramatic huff escapes her.

There she is. His little firecracker.

Unable to resist, he scoops her up and settles her on his lap, peppering her face with playful kisses until her laughter fills the room again.

Her giggles echo against the walls, bright and pure.

And in that moment, Taehyung realizes something with absolute certainty:

He’s never felt more complete in his entire life.

Not during the wild nights. Not during the fleeting relationships.

Nothing has ever compared to this.

To being her dad.
