Hello, as some of you might have noticed in the pinned post, all the novels were recently added in English:
Reading order:
First, start with the Dragon Raja series:
1 - Dragon Raja I - The Blazing Dawn
Adapted in season 1 of the animated show.
2 - Dragon Raja II - The Mourner's Eyes
Adapted in season 2 of the animated show, currently airing.
3 - Dragon Raja III - Black Moon Tide (Beginning)
4 - Dragon Raja III - Black Moon Tide (Middle)
5 - Dragon Raja III - Black Moon Tide (End)
This story arc will be adapted in season 3 of the animated series (it could potentially require more seasons due to its length)
Once you've finished, continue with the sequel series Dragon King:
6 - Dragon King 1 - World Reset
4th story arc and the latest book in the franchise, set two years after Dragon Raja III.
"Keep reading" for a small Q&A
Are these official?
There is no official translation of the novels. The fan translation was achieved by different means:
Starting on 2021, I translated the books with google and adjusted/fixed inaccuracies as I read them. I posted some of these for a while, they were legible but lacked personality, often made mistakes and felt robotic. Many other members of the community helped to improve them.
In 2024, ChatGPT proved to be a very decent translator, since it recognized intention and felt more natural, but it can be unreliable at times.
I redacted a huge instruction set on how to translate each name, term and franchise-specific words, even explained some concepts to it and the bot employed them all properly! I ran each novel through it page by page, fixed any error that I noticed and when in doubt, I'd compare it to the google versions.
Still, these books were very long and errors still slipped in, like repeated pages (I'd screw up the copy/paste process sometimes) or a character having the wrong name. Readers have been very helpful in the past year by reporting any errors that they found and the books are much more polished now.
Are these the canon versions?
Sort of... Since I had no access to the Revised Editions, the original volumes were used instead. I eventually came across pictures of the paragraphs that were changed in the new versions and used them to update the translations. Anything relevant like modified dates, new lore and character moments is present in the translation.
Dragon King is 100% canon.
Why is Dragon Raja III three-books-long?
Dragon Raja was originally a serialized story that was later compiled into novels. While the first two arcs fitted nicely into individual books, Dragon Raja III ended up much longer than expected and had to be printed in three separate volumes.
Is Dragon King a reset/reboot?
Nope, it's a continuation of Dragon Raja, we're still waiting for Dragon King 2 to come out in China.
It has been so long since I drew Chime, and I liked the rerise design a lot
thumbs up because hes happy to be here again

Like I said in my bio, I’m working on rewriting my fanfic so maybe (?) when I finally finished, I might post it here. More arts, please follow my instagram (written in my drawing below)
So for now, please take my fanfic cover with Chime as a small sample of it :3
