“Oooh, look at those! Think they’d look good on me?” Quartz asks, looking at some accessories on a stall.
A llama voice interrupts, “Wear those and everyone’ll know you’re tourists.”
“Mind your own stand!” Another shoots back!
“Oh. Hm,” Quartz thinks.
“We just arrived anyway, let’s worry about shopping on the return trip,” Feather puts in. “Good point! We’ll leave by this port anyway.”

“Ok, so the first thing that’s been going on around here- Quartz has been wanting to go on more missions with me, but the bosses said she wasn’t in good enough shape for long journies,” Feather explains.
“Sooo she asked Applebloom if she could help with a good old farm workout! Horn’s been a bit grumpy about it but that’s a good way to get the endurance up!”

Some years ago, Rainbow Power world
“My fellow Mare elements. I have noticed you both glance at our leader in a way that implies attraction,” the monotone zebra Nassa rattles off, catching the other two off-guard!”
“Wha-what?? That’s something to say I mean sure I looked but-” Sparks starts to excuse.
“Rainbow Power is some girl but I don’t want thing to turn into some jealousy thing, I’m a straightforward girl and-” Gold begins to explain.
“No, this isn’t like that,” Nassa correct, and puts a hoof around each of their shoulders, “I believe I have an idea that will satisfy all of our interests, should Feather agree.”
“You’re.... actually smiling?” Sparks said,
“All? You’re sure whatever this is is a good idea?”
“Trust me,” Nassa, “We’re all elements, and while I too am attracted to Rainbow Feather, I do not thing she is the only one we are each interested in.”
How the poly relationship in Rainbow Power’s world began! Not the straightforward Gold or the flirtatious Sparks, but the controlled Nassa, element of generosity, had the idea.

“Hey dad, mom!” “Aw my little gem! Come in for a huge!” Scarlet invites, and Quartz gallops over to her parents where Scarlet and Cerulean give her a big one!
Cerulean Point and Scarlet Crystal mostly moved back to their home in the Crystal Empire once Quartz moved out on her own (having previously moved in for a few years so they could be there for Quartz’s schooling), but they take big trips to Ponyville when they can!
