Poker bankroll management strategy that coaches don't tell you! It is not just having enough buy-ins in your poker account You must adjust When you are not playing your A-game, you should play at lower stakes. In the business world, minimizing losses and maximizing profit is the most important thing to master. Winstreak When you are having an upswing, go to play at higher stakes (don’t get crazy though) Moving up stakes Don’t go straight to upper stakes. Add just one table by time and keep the rest at a current stake. Play for one week. If you are still making a profit, add one more and play for a week until you have moved up completely. If you start losing, keep the same or move down to one table at a time. THE LAST TIP IS MAINLY FOR A MENTAL GAME Keep an extremely big bankroll When you have a big bankroll, swings won’t affect that much. My personal recommendation is 100 buy-ins for both cash games and tournaments. For more details, read “Treat Your Poker Like A Business” by Dusty Schmidt.
