He's definitely asking around to see when people were asked, trying to get everyone's numbers so he knows who tf Ilya is talking about when he says a number 😂. No way gossip king/logicproblemgrandpa is letting that go.

Ok SO! This has been in my inbox for a few weeks and I thought it was just one person and they’d realize sooner or later. Then there were some RC comments, then some RC discussions in the comments... Apparently RC has been the subject of some debate for listmakers (COLONs?).
It’s just RASHYCOCK! Sorry to disappoint! but I can see why people are confused. Chapters 15-16 spoilers:
#14 used it in his post so he didn’t have to write out the word (cue Shane saying “You can’t put RASHYCOCK in a coming out post”).
#27 is weird, I’m realizing the confusion is because he says one thing in his speech and another in the group chat. If I can retcon/justify/explain this a little, I’m fairly certain #27 didn’t think of the precedent (because there was barely any at this point) and thought RC could be a catchall term for all of them. Because he also won the cup that year, RASHYCOCK could have still applied to him, as a coming out cup king. Before he himself defines it in the chat, no one has said you have to come out the night of the cup to be RASHYCOCK, esp if Ilya strategically timed your coming out after you win the cup. The ball truly was in his court to make up the precedent.
(Baldwin complains about Lundin and Fredericks being included in the RASHYCOCK group chat because they didn’t win a cup; Price says he can’t use RASHYCOCK because he didn’t win a cup, so we can infer it was anything associated with the cup; but #27 DID win the cup)
So during his speech he proclaims that he’s a “lowly RC” #humblebrag #insidejoke. BUT then, because he’s a little dickling, as most of them are, he thinks it would be funny to a) complain that he’s being excluded and b) make DICK COMA a thing.
Either that or someone said something to him, that he couldn’t use RC if he didn’t come out the same night he won (seems like a Baldwin move, he was protective of that name).
OR the spicy in-universe RPF’r in me wants to say he just wanted a private chat with him and Fredericks, and there’s an affair happening there we just haven’t seen. But Fredericks is married, and Wagner is in a relationship. It would be VERY strong tea, and Ilya would be murderous if he found out that was happening and he wasn’t the one to set them up.

hiiii, I wanted to share the final version of my spreadsheet, the purple is stuff I updated based on yours, which could be anything from adding a first name or clarifying something I had narrowed down to a couple options, to entirely new info
the green on the numbers or the light vs dark orange were to do with who knew about hollanov, but past a certain point that was an open secret in the group anyway. uh. V is vegas meetups, A is allstar meetups, C was cup box/afterparty, S was the secret meeting, R was the rip roger rager. I think everything else is pretty self-explanatory?
I said a lot of this in my comment on the final chapter, but making a spreadsheet over something is my highest possible expression of love, this has been so fun to follow along, updating with every new chapter. Thank you for creating something so endlessly engaging!!

This is far more aesthetically pleasing than mine!
I made mine more palatable for public consumption so I did away with columns for: when they knew about hollanov, east/west (got tired of double checking every time lol), what group chat(s) they might have been in, plus some personality traits (I started a document with who I think said all of the listed asides/texts when there are a bunch of them in a row, but it’s very incomplete) including why I picked those names (some of them mean things lol like #16 is just John MeanJohn). For a while I was keeping track of which chapters each one was mentioned in, but abandoned that, so I just took it out for this version.
I think #42 is the only one I gave literally no information about/never mentioned at all, but I miiiight be wrong? who knows. (you do. you people know everything.)

so first of all I'm a huge fan of the chips are set to fall! you're an amazing writer and an insane fic planner and your humor is unmatched!!! now just like a lot of readers probably, I've been getting sooo invested in the who is who of it all! and I uhh made a spreadsheet! a google sheets spreadsheet that is 100% shareable
and I was basically wondering if you would want to see it? or if it would be okay for me to post the link somewhere (tumblr? threads?) in case anyone was interested in that?
it's okay if you don't want me, btw! it's not finished yet since I haven't had the chance to reread the full fic and polish it up but I've spend some time on it and I like where it's at right now enough to potentially share it

I ALWAYS want to see spreadsheets!!! I am feral for people who are making them, some of them are more detailed than mine!! You absolutely can share it with the class!
I will say: I (usually) won’t make corrections or confirmations on lists. I think that takes some of the fun out. I encourage (kind) discussion if you see someone else’s list and it’s different than yours, but I won’t weigh in. Basically, the second I give my stamp of approval on one, it becomes official and then if something was actually wrong... yeah I won’t do it lol I’m too chicken. There are reasons I’m not publishing mine until the end!
