The bell rings, the last bell of the school day. As everyone scrambles to get to the door, Chiya sits in the corner of the classroom, as usual, yet this time staring at a flier. She'd found this on the floor of the corridor a few days prior- it read "literature club, write the way into your heart". She'd always enjoyed literature, wether that was reading or trying to write out how she felt. She wanted someone to share that with, someone who could be patient with her, even understand her. She'd always been left in the dark, left to her own devices, maybe this club could change that!
Chiya takes a deep breath, her chair screeching along the floor as she gets up to gather her things. "You can do this." she whispers to herself enthusiastically. While in reality, she had no idea what was going to happen. She saunters slowly towards the door, the silence was... peaceful, meaning the rowdy students had already left the corridors. "F-fine time to try something new.." she muttered to herself, voice trembling. She glanced at the flier once again, making sure she'd head to the correct classroom. She continues walking, her head swirling with questions. 'How many people will be there?' 'What if they dislike my interests?' 'What if the club is completely different to how I'd envisioned it?!' She snaps back to reality as she hears footsteps. Straight across the hall is a girl, about as tall as Chiya, walking swiftly as her coral hair swishes behind her. That girl is Monika, her classmate. Chiya has always admired her, how shes so confident, how she speaks her mind. But something is off.. It's as if she looks stressed.. "Monika... hm, must be late for the debate club." She said under her breath. Chiya shrugs and decides to follow Monika, after all, she somehow happens to be heading the same way. After a while of trailing behind, Chiya is caught be surprise when Monika bursts through a classroom door, she hears muffled apologies as she realises what classroom it is.. The classroom from the flier.. "M-monika goes to the l-literature club?!" Chiya gasps. Her heart starts pounding, what is this feeling? She staggers forward as she repeats "You can do this, you can do this, Monika probably won't even notice me.." She stops. As she peers through the door she's shocked to find only four girls. "Hm? This IS the right place isn't it?" Chiya stares at the flier for what feels like forever. Yes this is it, this is the literature club. A mix of panic and relief wash over her. Sure there's not many members, but this means they'll all immediately notice Chiya, something she's not used to people doing... She observes from the door, they seem to be.. laughing? "They s-seem nice..." she takes a deep breath... then another, her heart rate slowing down, this is the opportunity she wanted, to make friends. Chiya sighs, her bag clutched to her side, and opens the door..
