honestly that’s what got me lmao like the first “you’re entitled to your opinion!” after he posted pictures of another setting of the song I posted (and the post literally wasn’t about that song it was just about Britten and how I love him) and this guy is like “here’s Finzi’s setting of the same poem, i like it better even tho I’ve never heard the britten version : )” and i’m like, cool, Finzi sounds like lounge music to me and I hate playing it (who is Sylvia war flashbacks) but I’m just gonna temper that

The thing about YOUR wips, Cross, is that your chapters are almost always like a self-contained story. You can stop anywhere, first chapter or 50th, and come away feeling like the story could go on or be finished, whichever, and you would be satisfied. At least for the ones I'VE read. (every single one of your TW fics, multiple times because I LOVE them.)

I think I'm going to have to start rereading a few of the fics that I've recommended to review, if only so I'll have a better frame of reference for my recommendations. I think I might even learn to appreciate them a little bit better.
In "Favoured", Stiles is kidnapped by a group of werewolves in order to answer for an incident from the original Hale pack's past. The new Hale pack comes to rescue him, but not before Stiles is forcibly raped and bitten. When he fails to turn, Stiles is then courted by even more werewolves for an ancient and undesirable position in one of their packs. It is not the best time in Stiles' life, but it eventually manages to work itself out.
This is possibly one of the most passive and bland summaries I've written in a while. It's all true though. This story is not horribly depressing, but it's not the happiest either. It's like the light grey sky when the atmosphere is debating a rain, but feels it's still too nice outside. Yea, that's it. This story is the consideration of a rain on a sunny day.
I liked it. It was refreshing, and I needed the innocence of it. Courtship is an underused, but very likable trope. And Werewolf Courtship has to be one of my favorites.
This fic doesn't outright address Stiles' rape, but it does very much affect him. He actively does not want to talk about it, but the author successfully conveys that Stiles' rape was not the thing that he felt most violated about. It was the bite.
I recommend this fic because, despite the violence of it, it was a very low key fic. And I think that sometimes we need fics that are relatively low key in between all of the epics and the crack fics. Sometimes you just need something to get you through the day, and sometimes those fics can be very spectacular.
So, this fic is for the Sterek babes who love a good werewolf courtship. Its for those of us who like Stiles to be of age, and Derek to be a gentlemen. Its for the kids who don't care to pretend like werewolves can be just as horrible as everyone else. It's probably for you.

Lestrade sees a video he’s not supposed to, and thinks the worst of Sherlock and Mary. But maybe he doesn’t see the whole picture…
