These cute Jack-o-Lantern cake pops are ideal for Halloween parties or gatherings. They combine chocolate cake flavors with a festive pumpkin appearance.
Ingredients: 1 box of chocolate cake mix. 1/2 cup of chocolate frosting. 1 package of orange candy melts. 1 package of green candy melts. Black icing or black candy melts for decorating. Cake pop sticks.
Instructions: Bake the chocolate cake according to the instructions on the box. Let it cool completely. Crumble the cooled cake into fine crumbs in a large bowl. Add chocolate frosting to the cake crumbs and mix until well combined. The mixture should be moist and easy to shape. Shape the cake mixture into small pumpkin-shaped balls. Melt the orange candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl according to the package instructions. Dip the end of a cake pop stick into the melted candy and insert it into a cake ball. Dip each cake pop into the melted orange candy, coating it completely. Allow any excess candy to drip off. While the candy coating is still wet, melt the green candy melts and use it to create pumpkin stems on top of each cake pop. Allow the cake pops to set on a parchment-lined tray. Once the candy coating is completely hardened, use black icing or melted black candy melts to create Jack-o-Lantern faces on each cake pop. Let the decorations set before serving or packaging.
