These delectable cookie bars combine the classic flavors of chocolate chip cookies and OREO cookies into one irresistible treat. They are chewy, gooey, and perfect for any occasion!
Ingredients: 1 cup 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened. 1 cup granulated sugar. 1 cup brown sugar, packed. 2 large eggs. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 3 cups all-purpose flour. 1 teaspoon baking soda. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips. 1 cup crushed OREO cookies. 1/2 cup chopped walnuts optional.
Instructions: Preheat your oven to 350F 175C. Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, and then add the vanilla extract. Mix well. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips, crushed OREO cookies, and chopped walnuts if using. Spread the cookie dough evenly into the prepared baking pan, pressing it down gently. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
