Enjoy the famous DoubleTree hotel cookies at home with this delicious Copycat recipe! These cookies are soft, chewy, and loaded with chocolate chips and walnuts.
Ingredients: 1 cup unsalted butter, softened. 3/4 cup granulated sugar. 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar. 2 large eggs. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1/2 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice. 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup rolled oats. 1 teaspoon baking soda. 1/2 teaspoon salt. Pinch of cinnamon. 2 2/3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips. 1 3/4 cups chopped walnuts.
Instructions: Start by heating the oven to 350F 175C. Melt the butter and mix it with the light brown sugar and granulated sugar in a large bowl until the mixture is smooth and creamy. To the butter and sugar mix, add the eggs, vanilla extract, and lemon juice. Add everything together and mix until it's smooth. Add the all-purpose flour, rolled oats, baking soda, salt, and a pinch of cinnamon to a different bowl and mix them together using a whisk. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ones, mixing only until everything is well combined. Add the chopped walnuts and semisweet chocolate chips and mix them into the dough so that they are spread out evenly. Place rounded tablespoons of dough on baking sheets that have not been greased, leaving some space between each cookie. Put it in an oven that is already hot and bake it for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the middle is still soft. After taking the cookies out of the oven, let them cool for a few minutes on the baking sheets before moving them to a wire rack to cool all the way.
