Prompto had been sleeping mostly peacefully for once in his life. There were no dreams which was more than okay with him since they were usually nightmares anyway. It was just a nice, dark, calm, deep sleep. That was until that darkness around him seemed to begin to choke him. He struggled at first, trying to wake himself up, but moments later he realized he was awake as slowly his eyes became use to the dark and found a face: Loqi. His struggling stopped as he merely stared at the other with wide eyes.
Honestly, the blond more or less had expected this after seeing how poorly people treated the older of the two, the spare. He had made an obvious effort to step in and stop such behavior, but not everyone would listen to him. Tears stung the corners of his eyes as he just... Accepted this reality, his adopted brother choking him. If it made Loqi happy to be rid of him, then maybe it would be better if he was dead.
“I-I’m sorry...” the prince struggled to choke out.
