Friendly reminder that Nicolas Sarkozy, French president from 2007 to 2012, was obssessed with pastry, but needed to watch his weight; so his nutritionist told him to prefer chouquettes. They’re indeed the less caloric pastry.

So that’s what he did. But he asked for so many chouquettes, they were everywere. Absolutely everywhere.

To the point that all his advisors were so sick of it they turned to his nutritionist and begged him to do something, anything, but to make it stop.

So yeah, the 6th President of the French Fifth Republic was so French he made other French people sick of it.
