The Prince by Niccolo Machiavelli
I learned so much from reading this. It looks like a breeze to get through but really, you’ve gotta take your time with it to absorb everything. Reading about the author and the men he looked up to was interesting. Though he favored some and disliked others, he was willing to point out traits he admired and disliked on both sides. Truly a must-read.
Haul I seem to be doing recently is buying books.

Book Reviews : The Magician King by Lev Grossman
This is the sequel to The Magicians and it was definitely enjoyable. Quentin has been needing an adventure because life in Fillory is so easy, almost too easy. But this book was really more about Julia, where book one was about Quentin, book two was for Julia. Her character really struggled and grew and in some ways, her reward was deserved because she went through Hell and back just to achieve what she wanted. I am looking forward to the last book.
Book Review : A Series of Unfortunate Events Books 8-13
This series was the perfect sarcastically tragic tale of misfortune and adventure for children that I’ve ever come across. The books are written like a biography or case file by a man who is following the lives of three young orphans with an enormous fortune. Its written so well that adults and children can enjoy it and it’s so fun to read it all at once.
