God has lavished his love on us!
Do you wonder if anything can separate you from Christ's love? No matter what we experience, know that you are loved. Your pains are Christ's pains, your sadness is His sadness. You are not alone for you are loved. To know we are never alone in our trials and tribulations is a gift. To know we are loved through it all is a treasure.
Some days I absolutely hate myself.
I am selfish, I am inconsiderate, I am inpatient, my heart and mind are a mess, and so much more.
Some days I do nothing but put myself down, and at the end of the day there I am. A mess.
That isn't how God looks at me, or anyone for that matter. We may be a mess, but we're a beautiful mess.
(What... I'm beautiful... and a mess?? How am I beautiful when I hate myself so much?)
One of the most beautiful things about a person is Christ living inside of them. At the end of the day I may be carrying a ton of pain, the weight of my mistakes, and the pain from life.. but I am not carrying it alone!
Jesus Christ DIED so that we wouldn't have to carry our burdens alone. On the days I look at myself in disdain, he looks at me in love. Christ has given me life in a new way, so that I may not be weighed down by all of my shortcomings, and that is BEAUTIFUL!
