She was still getting used to the idea of being something less than antagonistic with Khan (less than antagonistic and certainly more than friends, now), and it would be an understatement to say she was jittery around him. She still didn’t want anyone to figure out what was happening between them - who knew what would happen or what they would think.
So when she heard Khan’s greeting, she’s less than pleased at the sudden impact of the wall at her back and his hands over hers, pinning her there. She’s even less happy with his lips over hers, and her eyebrows knit until he pulls away.
”Khan,” she hissed, looking up and down the empty corridor as best she can while she’s pinned between his body and the wall. “Someone is going to see.”
"No one is going to see," came a responding whisper, "I would hear them long before they ever had the misfortune of coming. ...And even if they did happen upon us, they would not leave here with the ability to speak!"
Despite his confidence, however, he did not bend forth for another kiss (though how he ached to steal another!) and instead his hands loosened around hers. They still hovered, a mist of warmth against Clara's fingers, but the brief brightness that had shone in the augment's eyes had dissipated. Khan tilted his head, eyes searching hers. Lips tilted into a slight frown and after a moment of silent, he asked:
" Are you ashamed?"
