If you start feeling down, worried or unsettled in any way, see if you can stay ‘before the because’. What I mean is, don’t start coming up with reasons for why you’re feeling like this, just feel the feelings. You see, what you resist (or overthink) persists, so by just leaning into feeling your feelings, you’ll notice these thoughts will drift away as quickly as they drifted in - because that’s what thoughts do; that’s how they operate. By coming up with reasons WHY you’re feeling down, you’re actually holding on to your negative and unresourceful thoughts, and actively slowing down the drifting away process - so let ‘em go, simply by feeling your feelings.
