If someone tells you they have a disability

And they work, go to school, raise children, do things that you deem normal and acceptable and do them for the number of hours “required” to be adults? Don’t accuse them of lying. 

Most of us have NO choice but to work, to keep our insurance, to pay our bills, to help our kids, to stay fucking alive because the other choice is dying. Literally.

So don’t assume because a person does “normal” things in your book that they’re not disabled. You don’t live in their pain. You don’t watch everything we go through. You don’t see us collapse when we get home. So don’t fucking do it.

physical therapy is rough, and for reasons you wouldn't expect.  I'm kinda bony, and certain stretches grind things like my hips against hard surfaces.  That and my muscle tone has deteriorated more than I expected over the past few years.

Chronic pain is evil. Well least I have my pets, video games, books, freinds/family and drawing to distract me from it. Oh and tumblr :]

Mentally exhausted??

Being at a real crossroads in my life, as far as working goes has really started to drain me mentally. I really don't have a direction right now. Luckily I have qualified for unemployment this time, so I do have some time to figure something out. I mean the logical thing to do is to go ahead and file for disability. That would solve my income solution for basically the rest of my life. Now that income is not a whole lot of money. That is the real problem.

How much is sanity worth is these times? Would having the disability actually give me sanity or would just give me temporary apathy? Would it push me more toward my final decision of my 5 year plan?

I am mentally drained enough from dealing with the pain on a daily basis. Dealing with all the other stuff on top of that is just draining every bit of mental energy I can pull together. I am so drained at the end of each day, I feel like I have worked a 15 hour day in a restaurant.
