God has made it so easy for one to not miss heaven that some have deceived themselves to think they are going though they clearly ignore God's word or have joined hands and have themselves pardoned evildoers, when God has clearly said that he won't justify the wicked . . . (Exodus 23:1-9)

God has made it so easy to not miss heaven that many believe it is okay to remain in their sins and they think that they will still receive the benefit of what Christ's crucifixion has accomplished . . . (I Corinthians 6:9)

God has made it so easy to not miss heaven that many saints have quit running the race, becoming distracted or preoccupied with themselves and the world because Christ paid it all . . . So, they end bearing no fruits unto God to be accepted by him (I John 2:15-17)

God has made it so easy to not miss heaven that one has to consciously choose to reject or stand insubordinately against  the invitation of God (blaspheme) . . . the inward, silent, and personal testifying, convicting and preaching of the Holy Spirit to one's thoughts and views for one to step out of the blindness, darkness, filthiness, and unrighteousness of sin . . . (Matthew 12:31-32)

But God has made it so easy to not miss heaven because it comes enough with a fight from God's enemies and against our Adamic nature (human nature) and against the culture of this world. Nevertheless, God has provided them who believes with all that pertains to life and godliness . . . (II Peter 1:3)

However, he has yet left enough undone for us to show others and the spirit realm that God is worthy, for such a life of faith glorifies him. Amen ☝️

President Russell M. Nelson of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints passed away last night at the age of 101. As a heart surgeon, he pioneered ways of saving lives—and as a special witness of Jesus Christ, he spent his own life sharing God’s light with all those who came in contact with him.

I’m sharing here one of his messages that I particularly love; a message to the world from November 2020, where, during the dark days of the COVID-19 pandemic, he invited all to experience the healing power of gratitude.

President Nelson worked tirelessly to prepare the world for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. I can think of no one more prepared to joyfully step into our Heavenly Father’s presence at the close of this life. He will be deeply missed by all those whose lives he has changed.

me and my friend are both ex-christians who went to church growing up. she's Black and i'm white and a few things stuck out to us

firstly, my friend was a PK so she has been to a wide variety of both Black and white churches, predominantly in the South but not only in the South. secondly, i went to summer bible school as a kid but didn't start attending church until i was 12

Black people seem to be much more joyous about celebrating the Lord on Sunday. it seems like it's supposed to be a much happier time

white people act like god died every fucking sunday

white people stole Black church songs and flipped the tempo on them -- yup -- she started singing songs to me that i knew, but the way she grew up singing them and it was literally like bring it on: church camp

then she showed me her dance moves for he came from heaven to earth to show the way (which was every teen girl's FAVORITE song at my church, and one of the few upbeat ones) and of course her dance moves were sooo much better

we laughed bc we weren't about to have a conversation about the historical context of all of that while we were smoking weed on a friday night

the first time I really served as lector a few years ago I'd filled in last-minute as a favor to my sacristan friend and afterwards he described my reading voice as Savory and I've been thinking about it ever since

What I love about Kamisato Ayaka and Ayato in Genshin is their embodiment of the true essence of sibling-hood: tag-teaming your enemies.

I find it ironic how back when I was fully believing, I had no friends in the church. Hell, it felt worse than school, the older kids grouped together and were like popular. Of course, I didn’t let that or any of the other uncomfortable things get in the way because it didn’t matter, God was still very real, the church was still real for me at the time. Fast forward to now, I have a few friends and I’m one of the older kids in YW. It feels like I’ve got things to lose now. When I finally make the decision that I’m going to leave, I realize, “huh, she’s probably not gonna talk with me this often when I leave-wait I have friends?” And I REALLY HOPE it’s not God fucking with me this whole time. That would suck.
