Fuck, I forgot how tense the Chykka boss was. If they ever do remaster Prime 2, I hope they find a more elegant way of implementing the Seeker Missiles, it’s very finicky on Deck xD

Chykka Adult is the closest thing to get me near death in the Prime series so far. And it was all because his attacks pushed me so fucking far from the platforms that I couldn't help but to drop a few energy tanks. I blame that on my inability to dodge properly.

Overall it was a pretty neat fight, nothing super impressive. Dark Samus has been the funnest boss so far, the rest have been kinda here and there.

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes ~ Adult Chykka

Never liked Chykka's adult form as much as the larva, but the music is a neat callback. I've always liked songs that have multiple variations.

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes ~ Larval Chykka Battle

I've always liked Prime 2. It had some really cool boss fights in it, even though a few were more than a little irritating. The music is particularly fitting.

This plays during the first half of the battle with Chykka, who I'm pretty sure is a giant larval mosquito or something. I don't think I've ever heard of another game where you fight a waterborne larva before. I enjoy that the song has some callbacks to the area theme near the end.
