It took a while but I FINALLY beaten Final Fantasy IV on GBA & yeah this game might be my favorite in the series so far besides II & X, it basically became the game I wanted the first Final Fantasy to be, Cecil is a more characterized Warrior of Light, Golbez is Garland with a ton of depth by comparison making him among my favorite villians in the series besides The Emperor especially when Golbez was one of the OG tragic villians making him a precursor to some of the best Xenoblade villians, heck even the Elemental Lords were more characterized compared to the Elemental Fiends of FF1 that was just goons we had to fight but yeah I love the cast as well, Rosa, Kain, Yang, Cid, Edge, Rydia, Edward especially with his story the one thing I wasn't spoiled on caught me off guard alongside Edge's parents becoming monsters & quite possibly my favorite characters in the series for me, the twins especially when they helped me during the late game & gotta be honest with Zemus, I actually like him because it explains so much of why Golbez hesitated in killing Cecil as that was his one moment of remembering his past self, so I wouldn't call him a complete out of nowhere final boss like Cloud of Darkness, I also appreciate the side stories such as Dr. Lugae of his hidden goal of wanting to overthrow Golbez but yeah FFIV easily some of my favorites in the series so far but now it's time I journey into Final Fantasy V!

FFIV post-game headcanon: the whole world is excited to hear King Cecil and Queen Rosa have had a baby boy! An evening soiree celebrates the arrival. What's his name? "Ceodore." Oh, uh, that's nice, everyone says. Why? "It's the Baron version of the name Theodore, a name from around Mysidia." Okay, but . . . why?

Cecil and Rosa open their mouths to stumble through a faked explanation when the sound of airship rotors comes overhead. The flagship Enterprise is lit up like a Christmas tree and almost has enough balloons to lift without the engine. A big "Congratulations!" banner flutters behind and the two halves of the underside of the hull are painted with WELCOME and CEODORE in glowing rainbow colors. A ladder descends.

Ceodore Pollendina, embarassed by his first name, has told everyone all his life to just call him "Cid." The younger generation, like Cecil and Rosa, thought that was his name. He hops down among the mingling courtiers with the same beaming smile he had for his own daughter's birth.

"They named him after me, of course!" he says.

On cue, fireworks shoot from the Enterprise.

Cecil and Rosa look at each other, then at the baby, then back to Cid.

Rosa recovers first. "Yes! Yes of course," Rosa says. "Of course we named him after you, Cid! Ceodore? Cid! Haahahaha!"

Cecil, meanwhile, is thinking. Only a few people knew the name ahead of time. Two, in fact. The same two people who knew the real importance of the name, weren't on top of a mountain, and could help Cecil and Rosa think it over. He realizes they probably tried to do something nice for the baby by involving Cid for spectacle, and it spiraled out of their control from there.

"Yes! That Was Our Intention The Whole Time," Cecil says. Out of the corner of his eye, he sees Rydia and Edge doubled over with laughter.
