reminder to all disabled people that you’re allowed to tell people “i can’t do that” about stuff you can ‘technically’ do but which harms you or requires a period of recovery or preparatory rest etc. you don’t have to explain the complex nuances of your condition to anybody who demands it. i’ve found it’s honestly better to give the least amount of info about your symptoms unless you trust a person a lot. you hold the power over your health information. you choose whether or not to share the details of your condition with people who might not understand.

Y'know I have a new thing to complain about in the Project X Zone series where it has a lot of moments that has me completely lost due to obviously building around some in jokes due to who the Japanese voice actors are & while that's fine knowing the context, out of context, it just has me ultra confused in the overall story like, Why was Mega Man X so important to say the authorization of this multi dimensional truck ship that it needed to be voice acted? It even went back to Reiji by the end so what was the point besides an in joke I'm lost on or the one thing I do know about an in joke is Valkyrie from The Legend of Valkyrie series (games I'll one day play) where she's obsessed with the number 17 due to an in joke regarding her voice actor that I'm just scratching my head in confusion on why in the context of the story?

Danganronpa 2 had a better usage of this in my perspective because it was playing around with one of the character's voice actor being a sailor moon character & while that does get lost in the dub, that's when I know the writing is good when I can enjoy it without the context it's referencing alongside the fact the trial was really good with how it subverts a previous trial in the first game that I'm not elaborating on but with how the Project X Zone series does all this, it feels like a higher budget "respectful" take on a friedberg and seltzer movie just with less offensive stuff (usually) & more on, "HEY LOOK! THE THING YOU RECOGNIZE THEREFORE ITS AN OBVIOUS 15/10 MASTERPIECE!!!"

I'm reminded of this image regarding Cloud & why I'm against character regression that I blame it on people somehow skipping to see Final Fantasy VII Advent Children, A DIRECT SEQUEL or only knowing about Cloud soley from Kingdom Hearts which is another take on his character that gets people to think he's a emo pretty boy, Y'know I'm truly impressed that I know Cloud & Squall are portrayed wrong despite not playing either game yet but I believe that's the power of culture osmosis that I'll one day experience myself just after I get through FFV & VI

which btw, I'm VERY disgusted at how they keep whitewashing Tidus in Final Fantasy Spin Offs, it's VERY concerning

Y'know I do love how some of my favorite games kinda encourage the use of theory crafting granted while they're also a mostly completed narrative but with the way they sprinkle some stuff in the grand story of their respective series, it's a tiny bit but enough for us to fill in the blanks ourselves & why I enjoy how any media can get me thinking which I mean that as a VERY good thing

Y'know considering the Symphonia games & Phantasia are in the same universe, there's a non zero chance these characters met or at least know of their history, which maybe was part of the downward spiral of how Dhaos decided to step up & fight for Derris-Kharlan alongside preventing more magitechnology in killing the planet, which it is just speculation but that's the beauty of Phantasia for me & it's this theory crafting that amplifies both Symphonia games & why I'm a believer of Phantasia being some of the best SNES RPGs which is interesting how a game of the past can be enhanced by games of the future
