do you hear JUST LIKE MAGIC BY ARIANA GRANDE playing? oh, that must be ARIELLA PASCUA breezing by. i don’t know if you recognize them, but they look like KYLIE VERZOSA to me. i heard that SHE has been in town for FIVE YEARS, which is crazy considering they are THIRTY-THREE years old. yeah, they live over on OCEAN AVENUE, and i heard that they work as the OWNER OF CRAFT CORNER @ THE GALLERIA ( OUT OF TOWN ). i love that they remind me of POST IT NOTES SCATTERED ACROSS YOUR HOME, SILK PAJAMAS ON SATIN SHEETS, SUNGLASSES OVER ROLLING EYES, EMBERS DANCING ABOVE A FIRE, STACKS OF PLANNERS WITH EVERY PAGE FILLED, & LOOKING DOWN FROM HER IVORY TOWER WHILE THE FOUNDATION CRUMBLES, but … ugh, their playlist is so weird. why are MEET ME AT OUR SPOT, GIVES YOU HELL, MONA LISA, & CLEAN CITY in the queue?
STATISTICS:
full name: ariella aurora pascua
nicknames: no nicknames she hates them bad, she'll tell you her mother gave her a name for a reason ♡
birthday: march 17, 1992
hometown: scarsdale, new york
occupation: owner of craft corner @ the galleria
hobbies: junk journaling, scrap booking, amigurumi making
lives: ocean avenue
trigger warnings: religion, death, grief
following a whim and dreams of becoming a wall street stock broker, henry pascua packed up and moved his wife across the world from pinili, ilocos norte to brooklyn, new york. it doesn't take long for the couple to begin solidifying a life there, aira pascua becoming pregnant with their daughter just a year later. it's when ariella aurora pascua is born that her father starts working in overtime, spending the first five years of her life mostly absent ( but only in physiciality ). as he would continue to reiterate to her well into adult life: the sacrifice was worth it. by the time ariella begins elementary school, her family is moving to the upper west side to ensure her enrollment in the best private catholic school.
her schooling goes by in a haze of routine: wake up two hours before school to finish chores and study, attend school for eight hours, extra curriculars from five to seven, dinner, chores, schoolwork, repeat. by the time she's in third grade they're moving to scarsdale, entering a new tax bracket that her father swears hinges on her dedication to success. when she reaches new york university she'll find that most people she meets didn't have the same upbringing, but she's thankful for the structure and discipline her parent's rigid routine has given her. routine is the foundation of success, after all, and pascua's are born for success. it's her freshman year roommate that starts chipping away at her walls, gaining her trust through random acts of kindess, and allowing silence and boundaries where other's would've pushed her away.
the more she lets her in, the more she feels herself blossom. before she knows it she's spending time with her roommates' friends ( and would even consider calling them friends of her own ), and taking up creative hobbies she never would've considered before. junk journaling and scrapbooking become her favorite weekend pastime, but her roommate manages to drag her out every third saturday for a night on the town. during her sophomore year, and after a particularly tense phone call with her mother, she decides her hobbies are too lucrative not to profit off of and opens her own etsy shop called craft corner. there she sells junk journaling and scrapbooking kits, funding the nights her roommate drags her out. it's on one of her scheduled breaks that she meets her soon to be fiancee, swept into a whirlwind of romance and softening more than she thought she'd be capable of.
it's through her relationship that she finds herself building a community for the first time in her life, a group of people that truly see her and believe in her. she earns her bachelors in business administration and all of the pieces seem to be falling in place for her. landing a steady job at a business consulting firm is her logical next step, though she keeps her etsy business running ( purely because it's lucrative, because she can't admit she loves it ). at twenty-five her boyfriend proposes, and she swears life can't get any better than that. they spent a year and a half in premarital bliss before the unthinkable happens, her fiancee losing his life in a tragic accident just six months before their wedding.
the next year and a half are spent in a grief filled haze, all of the friends she'd grown to cherish pushed away one by one. the tragedy reminds her of what she's always known: the only thing you can count on is work and your parents. it doesn't take long for her to end up back under their roof, rebuilding herself from the ground up. on her twenty-eighth birthday, she decides she's had enough, that she can't heal in the same place she broke. on a whim that feels foreign to her, she packs up her things and sets off driving. she doesn't have a destination in mind, just the need to be far, far away.
as it turns out, far, far away was only a few states away. she'd only intended to stop by for the night, landing in cider point and staying at the local inn. the owner managed to charm her overnight, convincing her to tour the town for the day. that day was all it took for her to fall in love, extending her stay at the inn while searching for property on ocean avenue. after two years in town, she's considering packing up and starting again somewhere else, flighty nature kicking in. then, she meets theodora, who gives her a glimpse of the ariella she was getting to know in college. that glimpse is enough to fully ground her in town, leasing out a space in the galleria mall and opening up a physical version of her etsy shop. over the years it's expanded, growing in to a full blown stationary store with her own employees. she's still rough around the edges, but every day is a testament to her healing, and maybe with enough time ( and grace ) she'll be able to round those edges out again.
❝ hey, mr. dj. play a song for this pretty little lady. 'cause if she dance as good as she look right now, I just might, I just might make her my baby. ❞

HISTORY
TW INFIDELITY
Though she was born in Philadelphia, Daphne will always consider Cider Point her home. Moving at the age of six, the first time her father stayed in her life for more than a day at a time, Cider Point represented what she'd hoped would be a fresh start with a complete family. At the very least, it was a fresh start.
Daphne thrives in the small town, revelling in a vibrant social life and academic success all through her school years. Somewhere along the way she meets August, falls head over heels for the way he makes her laugh, how he always makes her feel more than enough. He's her first everything: date, kiss, time, love.
Her home life isn't so pretty, though. She and her parents benefit from an inherited wealth, but it seems even money can't fix a plethora of communication problems and her father's inability to commit to absolutely anything — what to have for dinner, promises to be at her upcoming poetry slam, her mother. But she never had convincing enough evidence, and her mother always seemed to forgive him, so who was she to say anything?
For years, she watches her mother love a man who doesn't deserve it, and slowly grows to resent him herself for the secrets he keeps and the promises he always breaks. At fifteen, she stops calling him 'dad'. He stops interacting with her unless necessary. Her mother tries to pick up the pieces.
At eighteen, she chooses to follow August to New York for university, escape it all, majoring in elementary education. Teaching is the goal, encouraged by her mother, but it's not what she really wants. She and August had gotten married right out of high school, the least she can do not to disappoint her mother further is follow her dead dream, right?
It all falls apart a few months later, and she thinks she should just be glad he confessed, take his remorse as a sign they could fix this, but the thought of her husband in bed with another woman just makes her think of her father and she can't be like her mother.
He moves back home, and she stays, tries to balance a degree she doesn't want with navigating divorce at the young age of nineteen. Halfway through her second year, she's dropping out before they can kick her, too, and now they're just two people with nothing left who were supposed to have the world.
She moves back, too, once her father threatens to cut her off. She can't survive in New York without his card, her career prospects non-existent now, her motivation rock-bottom. But it'd been fun while it lasted, living the fast life, her tongue down a different throat each night and another brunch the next day with people who don't actually like her, just the mess she's become.
She bounces around jobs for the next few years, keeps herself afloat with roommates so she doesn't have to live under her father's roof, under his rule. Strings of short-lived relationships because love is a lie because even when you do everything right, your husband cheats and your father leaves so why commit? Why commit to anything?
Her parents' marriage finally implodes when she's twenty-seven, her mother finally seeing for her own eyes the man her father had always been — a liar and a cheat; a fraud.
Turns out, she's not the only child he has. Somewhere out there is an older half brother neither Daphne or her mother have ever met. He insists that's it, just the two, and for now, she chooses to believe him. Her mother is distraught, and Daphne bites her tongue not to say I told you so. It's the last gift he gives them before he skips town again, complicates every step of their divorce. It's the first time she's grateful for August since he confessed, for making their divorce as easy as it could be.
And though she no longer dreams of white picket fences, she thinks maybe it's about time she settled down a little, found footing in life, something to give her purpose. Love might be a scam, and she might've squandered all her potential in New York, but maybe she can find a little of the young woman she lost again — the one who loved picking berries in the sunshine and dancing around the kitchen to the radio, who loves to volunteer because nothing feels better than making someone smile. Maybe.
do you hear BRUTAL BY OLIVIA RODRIGO playing? oh, that must be CAMILA BARRERA breezing by. i don’t know if you recognize them, but they look like INDE NAVARRETTE to me. i heard that SHE has been in town for TWENTY SIX YEARS, which is crazy considering they are TWENTY SIX years old. yeah, they live over on ELECTRIC AVENUE, and i heard that they work as a BOOKINGS MANAGER @ AMOR STUDIOS ( IN TOWN ). i love that they remind me of SMUDGED AND BLEEDING EYELINER AT THE END OF THE NIGHT, BIG BULKY HEADPHONES, QUIET MOOD-LIT ROOMS, & THE VIEW THROUGH A WINDSHIELD MIRROR WITH DICE OVER IT, but … ugh, their playlist is so weird. why are HYSTERICAL WOMEN, LIKE A G6, HERE COMES THE SUN, & LEAVE ME ALONE in the queue?
Camila's mom left when she was four. Which was fine. It wasn't like she ever really knew that lady, so it wasn't like she could even miss her, and she didn't even have to miss her, anyway. Her dad pulled double duty, thank you very much, even with his busy schedule as a marketer. It took him out of town often, but with the help of some neighbors, they made it work. Ideally, he probably should've moved a few towns over to be closer to his side of the family, but he didn't want to uproot Camila's life even further. It was kind, really. And, as she got older, she figured she'd step up to the plate and make it all work even better for the two of them. She'd get a job at sixteen, help him cut back on some hours, find a good middleground together. He'd given her a lot. She'd wanted to give something back.
Instead, at sixteen, her dad changed the plan on her. Which, to be fair, she'd never actually told him the plan. And it wasn't like she could be mad that he'd fallen in love again. And it wasn't like it reasonable for her to be mad that instead of having to take on some bills at sixteen, there was another adult covering them. And her kids. And who could be mad at their family getting bigger? Who could be mad at strangers deciding they'd like to love her and her dad? It was a non-issue, aside from all the ways it was. It wasn't so easy to join a family at sixteen. Her stepsiblings had been raised together; her dad had a gap to fill, but she didn't. She didn't feel unloved at all, but she couldn't shake the feeling of being a plus one to the party.
For a girl who spent her entire life trying to feel in control of it, a big change she had relatively no say in was a hard thing to get used to. It made her double down on making everything else make sense. She loved music, but that wasn't a career; she'd pursue something administrative, something practical. If her dad was going to bring other people in, she was going to keep everyone else out, scared to get close and have to deal with any emotional fallout. The momentary lapse in judgement she had in the form of a brief summer romance after high school only strengthened that. She had dreams bigger than this town, but leaving it held too many variables. It was safer to stay in one place. If everything else was going to change, she would make sure she stayed the same. And if it made her stircrazy, she would definitely not spend any time wondering if that was exactly how her mother had felt.
Do you hear “WHAT'S MY AGE AGAIN?” BY BLINK-182 playing? Oh, that must be BELLAMY KYRKOS breezing by. I don’t know if you recognize them, but they look like ZOE TERAKES to me. I heard that THEY/HE have been in town for TWELVE YEARS, which is crazy considering he is TWENTY-FIVE years old. Yeah, they live over on PENNY LANE, and i heard that they work as a LANDSCAPER AND TATTOO APPRENTICE (IN TOWN). I love that they remind me of FRESH INK ON SKIN, A MOTORCYCLE RIPPING DOWN A RESIDENTIAL STREET, A BONG RIP IN A CLOSED ROOM, AND DIRT UNDERNEATH NAILS, but … ugh, their playlist is so weird. Why are "FIRST CAR" BY GOAT, "SOMEBODY THAT I USED TO KNOW" BY GOTYE FEAT. KIMBRA, "THE KIDS AREN'T ALRIGHT" BY FALL OUT BOY (MUSE D) and "WHITE HOUSES" BY VANESSA CARLTON in the queue?
TW: Addiction, child neglect, homelessness
Bellamy was born in Boston, Massachusetts to Richard Kyrkos and Katherine Terzakes, a young couple who had zero business reproducing. The first few years of Bellamy's life was spent hopping between different motels and shitty apartments. To the Kyrkos kids, it was normal for their parents to either be out and about for hours on end or passed out on a couch or bed. Seeing pills and needles all around their living space was typical. Being left to fend for themselves was par for the course. After a particularly bad drug bender, nobody took Bellamy to school for a week and their teacher called DCF out of concern for their wellbeing. After the authorities saw the squalor the children were living in, Bellamy and their brother were removed and placed into foster care. Richard and Katherine were given an ultimatum: give up drugs or give up their children. They chose the drugs, and by the time Bellamy had turned six years old, they were officially a ward of the state.
For the next eight years, Bellamy bounced from town to town, foster family to foster family. About three years into being in the foster system, Bellamy was separated from their brother; there was a nice family in Lowell who decided to adopt their brother but thought Bellamy was too much trouble. It was hard for them to make friends without a stable place to live, and they had all but given up on people until they ended up in Cider Point. When they were a freshman in high school, a family in Cider Point took them in. For the first time, Bellamy was able to make friends and express themself how they wanted to. Their foster family was very open and gave no pushback when they started using the name Bellamy and going by they/he pronouns.
The friends Bellamy made weren’t the best influences, but they welcomed Bellamy with open arms. Their friend group would run around town causing all sorts of mischief. Most of what the group did involved property damage, skipping school, and smoking weed, but every now and again, they’d find themselves in fights. Bellamy graduated high school by the skin of their teeth, much to the chagrin of their foster family. Once their eighteenth birthday hit, the checks from the state stopped coming in. The family agreed to keep Bellamy under their roof until they graduated, but before they knew how to process it, Bellamy had been kicked out by the closest thing to a family they’d ever known.
As an adult, Bellamy has slowly but surely been making a better life for themself. They couch surfed and worked a variety of odd jobs for years until they were finally able to put a roof over their head. It's not a nice apartment by any means, but it's theirs and they wouldn't trade it, or their roommate, for the world. College wasn't in the cards for them, but in the past year, they've taken the necessary state-approved courses and got an apprenticeship at the local tattoo shop. They can't call themselves a full-blown tattoo artist yet, but they wouldn't trade it for the world, though getting paid would be nice. For now, landscaping has been paying the bills. Bellamy still has a lot of growing up to do, but they're not planning on acting their age any time soon.
do you hear YES I’M CHANGING BY TAME IMPALA playing? oh, that must be ANTHONY BRUNELLI breezing by. i don’t know if you recognize them, but they look like BELMONT CAMELI to me. i heard that HE has been in town for ALL HIS LIFE (ON AND OFF), which is crazy considering they are TWENTY-EIGHT years old. yeah, they live over on OCEAN AVENUE, and i heard that they work as an ASSISTANT ICE HOCKEY COACH ( OUT OF TOWN ). i love that they remind me of COUNTLESS TROPHIES DECORATING YOUR CHILDHOOD BEDROOM, HAND-WRITTEN LOVE LETTERS, TIRED EYES, AND REALISING THE WORLD MOVES ON WITH OR WITHOUT YOU AS SUNLIGHT SEEPS THROUGH THE CURTAINS, but … ugh, their playlist is so weird. why are LUSH LIFE, BOYFRIEND, & WALK YOU HOME in the queue?

⟡ dated december 2004, location : toronto, canada. [ OBJECT DESCRIPTION : a magnet in the shape of a maple leaf, underneath inscribed "CANADA". inside the maple leaf there's a winter landscape, displaying some cozy houses and a moose. ]
winter breaks are anthony's favourite. he gets to travel with his family all the way to canada and spend christmas at his uncle's house. two winters ago the man taught him how to skate on ice. this year he's introducing hockey sticks. he likes it well enough, plays these games against his older cousins and somehow manages to win.
later, when they all go out to eat burgers, anthony overhears his uncle and father discussing his potential. truthfully he doesn't care much— he's way too occupied by both his cousins' stories and the toy that's in his happy meal. yet when they return home, his father announces that he enrolled him in hockey classes. anthony stays quiets, just nods and goes to his room. he already learned there's no arguing with his dad once he sets his mind to something.
⟡ dated february 2013, location : out of town. [ OBJECT DESCRIPTION : a big trophy, holding a golden figurine at the top. it's of a man dressed in hockey gear holding a hockey stick, the bottom of the stick connected to a puck. it was awarded to his team after winning the national junior hockey championship. ]
funnily enough it really started out as just a regular hobby. but then anthony entered national junior hockey competitions and brought home some prize money. as he grew older and created a name for himself within the industry, sponsors began contacting his parents as well. and after nearly a decade in the field, along with some smart investments on his father's end, they were able to move out of their modest home in penny lane. it was replaced by a grand mansion in ocean avenue, with a pretty view over the water. his parents decided to retire early, leaving their regular 9 to 5s to focus on anthony's sports career instead, and all the traveling it included.
during those years anthony's love for hockey is as real as it could be. it gives him purpose, something he's good at. he's on cloud 9 after winning his team the junior state championship. people are much nicer to him now. strangers stop him on the street to congratulate him, girls vie for his attention. he basks in the glory, using it as fuel to work even harder next season. anthony's career is burning bright, with no signs of slowing down.
⟡ dated june 2016, location : cider point. [ OBJECT DESCRIPTION : a baby pink wrist corsage custom made for his prom date, displaying several pink flowers and some pearls. he'd been meticulous about the colour scheme request, wanting the corsage to perfectly match his date's prom dress. it's still neatly packaged inside the box from when he purchased it all those years ago. ]
he's going to miss his senior prom. his father-turned-manager informed they have to travel out of state to meet up with different teams and coaches, to ensure anthony getting the best sport scholarship possible. except he'd been looking forward to prom night for months at that point, finally finding the guts to ask out the girl he'd been pining over since sophomore year. he'd picked out a suit that would match her dress, he already ordered a limo to pick them up at 7. the disappointment on her face when he breaks the news that he can't make it crushes something inside of him. it hadn't been the first time he missed out on important events because of sports. he missed his best friend's 18th birthday party. he couldn't be there when his dog got sick and needed surgery. his father has a tendency to brush these things off, claiming " being great requires equally great sacrifices, anthony. " yet he can't help but realise he never wished to give up his sense of normalcy to begin with. anthony isn't allowed to quit, not when it would directly affect his parents' livelihoods as well. so he goes out of state on prom night, feeling anger simmer inside his chest as he spends the night checking his friends' snapchat stories.
⟡ dated may 2022, location : cider point. [ IMAGE DESCRIPTION : anthony in a hospital bed. his entire body is bandaged up, bruises visible on both his arms and face. he's surrounded by all kinds of flowers, his mother's holding his hand as she sits by his side. anthony holds a thumbs up to the camera with his free hand, a lazy smile on his lips. ]
salvation came in the cruelest possible way. a drunk driver hits him on a busy intersection, totalling his jeep. when he later wakes up in the hospital, doctors state he's lucky to have survived. recovery is long and hard. it takes him months to learn how to properly walk again, having broken his legs in several different places. some of the pain is expected to never really go away, but he learns how to live with it. friends and family visit him daily, along with reporters demanding updates and interviews. one thing swiftly becomes clear: anthony brunelli's golden hockey career is over before he even reached his peak. his father ? devastated and inconsolable. anthony ? he feels oddly relieved. with the funds he earned over the years, he buys himself a nice house in ocean avenue, trying to figure out who he is without other people deciding for him.
⟡ dated march 2026, location : ocean avenue. [ OBJECT DESCRIPTION : a bouquet of several different flowers, all in different shapes and colours. there's a card tied around the stems of the bouquet, reading: we couldn't have done it without you. thanks for the great season, ant! ]
unlike what he initially suspected, anthony doesn't leave ice hockey entirely. after making a recovery, he was offered a position as an assistant coach for the team he used to play in. he helps them scout new members, evaluates their games and gives constructive feedback, organises and conducts their practices. he genuinely enjoys it, prefers to stay busy on the sidelines rather than on the ice. especially now he's able to actually establish a life outside of sport as well. he has other hobbies, meets his friends much more frequently, and can go wherever he wants. there's a distance between him and his father ever since the accident, but he finds that he doesn't really seem to care that much. he quite enjoys what he built for himself.

▶ currently playing — UNDER PRESSURE BY QUEEN & DAVID BOWIE (the story so far ...)
From the moment she came into the world, Rashmi could be defined as an "easy child." Not too fussy as a baby, slept peacefully, later often praised as a "joy to have in class", never too loud or at the center of any conflict. It was the thing she was always doted on for, so it became what she naturally gravitated towards and formed her identity around at a very early age. A steady ray of light in the lives of those around her, living up to her name.
It cemented further when a younger sibling came into the picture. And while no one ever placed caretaking responsibilities on her, it was a mantle she seemed to assign to herself. She'd help her sibling with homework and their portion of chores, ensure they were up and ready to go for school, come up with games to keep them entertained, make sure she was present for any special moments her parents might've otherwise missed due to work obligations. It created a tight-knit bond between the two. They weren't all each other had, but they understood the other would always be there.
Life was good. Rashmi was the kid who could befriend anyone on the playground and flourished in her friend group. So it was quietly devastating to her when work took the family to the other side of the country permanently. Initially, her ten year old self tried to keep up with her friends, but the time difference and tight schedules with school made consistent calls to each other harder. The bonds fell to the wayside, but she had her sibling and a personality that instantly put others at ease, which helped her adjust to the change the way she'd been expected to.
Rashmi easily found her place, partaking in various clubs like yearbook, student council, and tutoring her peers. Things were relatively uneventful from there for a while until a fateful meeting during her second year of high school. A boy a grade below her, who shined just as bright as she did was suddenly in her orbit asking for help with various subjects. Naturally she was happy to help, a quick and easy friendship developing between the two before gradually building into something more.
High school graduation came and went. Not only did she find herself going to college to pursue a degree in education, but she was now living with the person she couldn't imagine not having in her life. Despite some of the side eyes, it worked in a way that was so effortlessly easy that it only made sense that the two would end up married before either one of them finished their degrees. College graduation followed and then employment in both their fields, proving anyone who thought the high school sweethearts to young marriage track wouldn't work out that they were wrong when it came to the two of them.
Life settled nicely, like living in a dream. But then Rashmi's sibling decided to move back to Cider Point. Both adults with their own lives, the distance shouldn't be that hard, but it was. She couldn't fully let go of needing to be close just in case they needed something from her. So she brought the idea of moving out east to her husband and soon enough they found themselves in Cider Point as well. Readjusting to the place she partly grew up in with her two favorite people by her side.

Your classic "mom friend." Need someone to give you a ride after a night out? Someone to rest your head in their lap while you vent your problems? Give you advice and a smidgen of tough love when needed? Look no further than Rashmi. (You better send her "I got home safe" texts or so help me...)
Her optimism and beliefs about love and inherent goodness in people can often come across as naivety. However, her worldview is less about "nothing bad ever happens" and more about "bad things do happen but I will keep an open heart and light in spite of that."
Very forgiving...but to the point it can be to her own determent. It can make boundaries blurred or tricky in the sense that she will put a lot of faith and effort into someone despite how many times they might let her down. Not a losing dog but the person betting on them energy.
Forgiveness doesn't often extend to herself, however. You make a mistake? It's met with, "it's okay, it's you're first time living, you'll just do better next time <3" She makes a mistake and it's unbearable agony. Type of person who will apologize for something and you can say "it's okay, you don't need to apologize" and another apology will follow.
In general the type of person who will prioritize her needs after everyone else's. Like will show up to take care of you while running on empty herself. Caregiving is just so deep rooted into her identity.
Very sentimental and loves to scrapbook! Genuinely hard to part with things with any sentimental value. Honestly probably has a stack of old birthday cards because how do you throw away something that is essentially "it was your special day and I was thinking about you!"?
Lover of nature! Trips to the beach and park are a must. Loves having fresh flowers in the home and when the weather is nice enough to take her class outside for lessons.
Hopeless romantic and huge lovergirl! Fully believes in true love and soulmates and all that. And you know what?? It's worked out for her so why not continue to believe in it?
