I think one of the things that immediately got me on board with Cisco x Cynthia is that she brings out a confidence in him that he’s never exhibited with another woman that he was romantically interested in. Out of all the women he’s been attracted to, I never felt like the connection was at all equal with the two of them. The narrative always made it seem like he was reaching and that was irritating to see. Now, Cindy and Cisco have only interacted for two episodes but their interactions are so significant, not only because Jessica Camacho does a brilliant job of adding depth to a character we know barely anything about, but because it shows immense growth on Cisco’s part. She makes him want to step up to match her strength, and that’s not to say that Cisco isn’t strong but there are times when he doesn’t realize it. And the confidence he shows when he’s around her doesn’t take away from the man that he already is, to me it adds to it.
So it’s really annoying seeing people call him arrogant, just because they’re used to seeing him be insecure. It’s fucking annoying to see someone say that he’s a “precious cinnamon roll” and it makes them uncomfortable to see Cisco assert himself, even though it’s very clear that his and Cindy’s feelings are mutual.
And it’s so goddamn telling how the people in this fandom will literally break their backs to find Cisco problematic when he’s not a version of himself that they can freely infantilize. Cindy came at the exact right time, because what we’re seeing is a Cisco that’s finally starting to believe in himself. If that really makes you uncomfortable you need to self-reflect on why exactly that is.
You can vibe? Oh, I like it.
Cynthia: Cisco is such a dork. i can't believe i'm gonna kiss him
Iris: i mean......you don't have to
Cynthia: no i'm gonna
Who is this gorgeous intruder?

Um I wrote this, so read this?
cynthia + cisco with a coffee shop AU
cisco is only a barista because his paid internship at star labs covers his rent and bills but doesn’t quite support his junk food and Steam game addiction (plus, you know…free coffee)
cynthia is his favorite regular, even ranking above the old man with the crazy hats who leaves a twenty in the tip jar every time he comes in and is served by cisco, the superhero only person behind the counter before 9am because management fired stacy two months ago and hasn’t replaced her yet
he has her favorite drink memorized (americano with a shot of hazelnut syrup; he always adds a little chocolate to it for free. she hasn’t said anything about it but he often catches her smile when she takes her first sip)
cynthia started going to that shop because it was on her way to work; a few months after she started going there, her job transferred her to an office on the other side of town, but she still goes 20 minutes out of her way to go to THAT coffee place. if anyone asks her why, she cites the amazing coffee, but it’s really because of the cute barista who always adds a little chocolate to her coffee
cynthia doesn’t even need to order anymore; more than once, after an all-nighter, she’s zombie-walked up to the counter and just groaned. cisco always knows what she wants.
they’re both scared to ask each other out; cisco is worried she doesn’t feel the same and doesn’t want to scare his best customer off, and cynthia doesn’t want to make him feel uncomfortable at work or obligated to be nice to her because she gives him money
eventually cynthia’s the one to break the ice because the sexual tension was getting really out of control; one day their hands brushed while cisco was handing over her cup and she just blurted out, “we should have dinner this friday” to which a startled cisco replied, “i like dinner” and then cynthia walked out without getting any of his information and it was the most mortifying moment of either of their lives
eventually, though, they had dinner and lived happily ever after
send me a pairing and an AU and i’ll give you 5+ headcanons
Cyndicso: "what an entrance"
Okay so I know they never call Cynthia anything other than her nickname on the show, and for obvious reasons I wasn’t gonna use it. So I tried to make it obvious who I was talking about through her characterization. Hopefully it was clear.
This would be the fourth time this week Cisco’s coffee has mysteriously disappeared. Which was–it was fucking weird. He’d be at Jitters, set his coffee down, look away for a second. And every time, every time, it’d be gone when he turned back around.
