Another original theme I composed for a character who is an investigative journalist searching for his sister, who has been missing for three years. The music blends tension and emotion to reflect the weight of his journey.

Nebbra’s Fortress is a gorgeously enthralling future bass return for the French producer, with Colorado siren IOLITE on beautiful, graceful vocals. Nebbra assembles a florid tapestry of elegantly stabbing keys and hip hop drums to create an effect both bold rousing and delicately affecting on the electronic symphony. It’s a grandly eloquent masterpiece that certainly captures the dramatic facade and sculpted lines of an indomitable, everlasting fortress. Streaming and downloading options for Fortress can be found, here.
Don Quixote was a heroic fool, one much loved and cherished in the literary scene across the world. While the players in this next one are treasured producers in the electronic scene, I can assure you, there are no fools to be found here, only heroes. French production prodigy Fytch, the boundary pushing, genre blurring maestro whom we’ve extolled countless times over in the past year, places his adroit production prowess on full display as he unveils his contribution to Crywolf’s OBLIVIØN [Reimagined] series with a breathtaking Quixote transmutation. Fytch and Crywolf together on a track feels natural, if not inevitable. Both these artists have been leading-edge architects in electronica with their progressive sound structure, so vividly imaginative and boundlessly affecting. They oft fuse electronica with alternative music, even rock and emo. This Fytch Reimagination of Quixote is spine tingling yet beautiful, a gripping gut-punch of an epic trap and widescreen bass anthem. Crywolf’s OBLIVIØN [Reimagined] series has also featured the likes of Elminate, Mielo, Roniit, LEViT∆TE , and SWARM. Stream the series, here.
If it’s beautifully melodic, cinematic stirring future bass that you can’t resist, you’re going to love this recent track from EBEN, a producer who hails from Helsinki, Finland. With gorgeously svelte vocals that remind me of Meiko, and a grandiose tidal wave of magnificent, stately production, Falling Down sweeps us away on an epic tale of romance. Falling Down is out now via Bred N Butter Records. Stream on Spotify, here, or download, here.
Cryosis usually refers to the use of extreme cold to preserve and allow for restoration or revival later on. New pop-electronic trio Cryosis certainly breaths new life into us with their first release on Spotted Records, a beautifully enthralling, vocal-centric chillstep and melodic bass aria named Poison. It seems ironic that the song is named Poison even though it’s a sweeping, life-giving opus. The newcomers hail from Mumbai, India, and they bring us a sound that melds the likes of Illenium, Vanic, and Said The Sky with cinematic Echos as well as the indie charm of Stonefox. Stream/download Poison, here.
LA-based producer Jackal is back with his first new original in about half a year, and it’s a eye-widening masterpiece that leaves us breathless from its epic builds and moody cinematics. Don’t Come Near Me I Am A Monster is larger than life, a trap and bass opus that bursts wide open and swallows us whole. We find ourselves in the belly of the beast as we feel ever shudder, shiver, and stutter of this grandiose adventure. Jackal proves himself a master of his craft with this glorious track. He takes us to places we never knew existed, to see fantastical creatures and mythological beings we could only dream of. They’re beautiful, but dangerous. It feels like we may never want to come back from this, as we wonder... is this heaven, or is it hell? Stream/download Don’t Come Near Me I Am A Monster, here.
Ascending production whiz tofû pulls no punches when it comes to beautifully rousing electronic music. We’ve known this for well over a year now after encountering and featuring a myriad of exquisite remixes by the versatile Vancouver talent. We even had the pleasure of premiering his original, Keep My Company, featuring JORDY, here. He’s since followed it up with a collaboration with ravishing songstress Chloe, dazzling us with epic climaxes and emphatic texture on Wayward, a truly jaw-dropping opus whose grand apexes evoke much symphonic brilliance and regal magnificence. Chloe Farrell, a classically trained musician and singer songwriter, captures our hearts with her soulful soaring voice. That aerial display pairs divinely with tofû’s cinematic surging soundscape, both intricate and atmospheric. Wayward is a divinely crushing journey, and it’s out now, here. tofû is currently working on an exciting EP, due out at the end of summer.
Last month, we encountered the music of Fytch, a producer and songwriter who lists both Paris and Boston as his homesteads. We fell in love with the wallowing beauty of his song Without Heaven, a melancholic brooder of a cinematic and dark trap/dubstep odyssey. Fytch has since followed that stunning song up with a new moody broiling track named Promise, rife with organic strings and sooty surging synths. With vocals as poignant as can be, he invites us into his atmospheric world, with a “promise” of heart consuming, ear astonishing brilliance. Promise is a beautifully aching congregation of alt electronica and trap-imbued dubstep. Keep a close watch on Fytch, he’s an up and coming force in the electronic scene. Stream/download Promise, here.
