Slept in and missed a Dr's appointment to discuss medication. Oh wells, i'm very happy to not go on meds!

Citalopram takers! I have been prescribed Citalopram and my specialist has said that the side effects won't kick in for a few days to a week. However I have heard that, for many, the side effects have kindly arrived the very day of beginning the medication. Just wondering if anyone can share their experiences with this? :) Thanks!
