Dew's claws slip on the frets, startled by the sound of Cirrus's voice on the other side of his door.

There were a number of reasons Dew would lock himself in room and crank his guitar up to max, and none of them were good. Most of the time it meant he was pissed and didn't want to destroy anything or injure himself in a fight. This time, it was because he got into a nasty argument with Aether. He hated arguing with his closest packmate, especially in front of others, and Aether can shut him down so easily and so succinctly its embarrassing. It had been over something so trivial, and Aether had every right to shut him down, but it still hurt, coming from him.

"I don't care," he says after a few moments of silence, sounding as numb as he felt. He strums a chord or two and just stops, all his momentum gone. "They all saw what happened, they can go fuck themselves if they've got a problem with my volume level or what the fuck ever."
