I just saw someone point out that the first letters of the Lost Books (Chosen, Infidel, Renegade, Chaos, Lunatic and Elyon) spell "circle" and my mind is blown! I never noticed that before!

I either excel or fail at readathons. I am hoping that I will excel in all of my readathons. Enough about readathons, you are here for a review. Well, you are in luck because I am about to give you two reviews in one. I am going to…

I just finished The Circle Trilogy by Nora Roberts. My husband read these books when he was in high school and had been insisting for a while that I read them. “You will like them, it is fantasy, magic, dragons, battles and vampires” he would said excitedly to me, and I would respond with an “it’s a cheesy romantic novel”. It is no secret that Nora Roberts writes romance, that her novels are what some would call “girl porn”, so I was really skeptical.
At the start of this month I finished my “unread book reserve”, and knowing that it would be a while until I can acquire some new titles from my to- read list and additionally I had a beach trip coming up (how could I not have a book at the beach, especially since we were going child-free this time), I decided to read Morrigan’s Cross, the first book.
It started a little slow for me, because of my great skepticism and my “I only read grown up books now” attitude, but it wasn’t long until the narrative caught me and I started to fall in love with the characters.
To my surprise, the story was intriguing, the characters where very interesting and their development is not understated. Needless to say I finished the trilogy in the next two weeks. The ending was conclusive and it delivered what it promised and let me craving for more.
Personally I enjoyed the third one, Valley of Silence, the most. Its main characters, Cian and Moira, where much more interesting than the rest.
Since these books are pre-internet fandom era, there is not much information or art about them and the only person I have been able to talk about them is with my husband. So if there are any Circle Trilogy fans out there, please let me know!
I had made some simple fan art regarding the series, which I will share here. Hope you like it!
