19. What are you most excited for heading into a new campaign?

I am most excited to get to know the "new" players more! I LOVED seeing some of them play more short-form stuff for CR in the past, especially Luis and Alex. Both of them are role play powerhouses. Anything Aabria does turns to gold, obviously. Robbie was such a delight to have during some of C3 and everything I know about Whitney so far seems amazing!

i know im very predictable and we talked about this a bit before but i'd love to hear your thoughts on some molly and jester parallels!!

both had an atypical childhood--jester, a very isolated one, molly, one he doesn’t remember

play into whatever people think they are/perceive them to be and use that to their advantage; jester playing up the sweet cute innocent image to get what she wants/charm people, molly leaning into prejudice against tieflings or his “seductiveness” (which is in quotes because he’s Not, 10 cha beautiful dumbass) to intimidate or freak people out

don’t particularly care about societal standards of right and wrong and are much more interested in balance; ie, assholes get what they deserve and it’s okay to hurt them, good people get (extra tips, pastries, kind words)

appearance/style in general is important to them; clothes (and jewelry etc) are something that they have fun with, that they communicate through, that they attach themselves to.

absolutely do not care about looking stupid as long as they’re having fun. literally their whole attitude is “do it for the vine” personified. “it’ll be fun” is their motto.

can i add my two cents in here? tbh i really don't think she's white; whenever i look at her model sheet/concept art that was released the day before volpina premiered, she definitely looks very dark skinned. not as dark skinned as say, alya or nino, but definitely darker skinned than characters like marinette, adrien, and chloe. i'm white-passing mixed so idk if im like. overstepping, but [1]

the idea of them releasing that concept art of her, and turning around and saying "oh she's white" just doesnt sit well with me [2]

no, I think I agree with you, like this is clearly browner than she appears in the show sometimes...

it’s just that they haven’t confirmed what she is (people say ‘italian’ which isn’t a race (like there are black italians etc.) and also astruc suggested she could be lying about that, which would be really dumb so I think he was just trolling but still) so it’s a possibility & I guess I just wanna acknowledge that in case it does get confirmed that way.

like I wouldn’t wanna say that people are showing their racial bias in hating lila to the extreme lengths they do because she’s mean to marinette who has anxiety you guyss if it turns out lila’s white cuz marinette isn’t... IRL a white girl would have privilege over the white-passing mixed chinese girl even if the white girl is tanned or w/e. but they’re cartoon characters who are designed and portrayed a certain way that’s kinda iffy even if that is the case. it could be colorism even if it’s not racism.
