I was tagged by @cisco-imfineashell-ramon to post my seven selfies of 2017 but in total this year I have taken two (2) selfies this year so instead here is my transformation from light butch to femme. I’m tagging @kaldurobin and @redstreaking cause I don’t know who else to tag but those two.

Lemm get uhhh.... trans Joe West??

chokes up trans joe is so important to me,

the whole west family is trans, ok. joe, francine, iris, wally daniel irey jai they’re all trans (so are barry and cisco, honorary wests, and ofc cecile (joanie is a genderfluid lesbian)).

joe is very very private about being a trans man, okay? he’s not just a trans man he’s a black trans man and that’s a dangerous thing to be, especially when he was younger. his kids and francine all know, and he told cecile when he told her that barry and wally were the flash and kid flash respectively. that’s the same time that she told him she’s a trans woman.

joe was pretty worried about how wally would react to finding out, since wally grew up away from him and joe didn’t know that wally’s a trans man too (well, he’s not entirely sure what his gender is, but he’s transmasculine and has known that since he was very young). of course the situation with wally is a little bit different, and joe knew that he and francine had a child after iris before she left, but that was all he knew. francine left only a few days after wally was born, taking him with her. in all honesty, joe assumed that his baby was dead.

but then his son shows up on his doorstep and he’s grown into a lovely young man and he’s so proud of him-and so worried about how wally will react. but then wally ends up coming over to his house for dinner wearing an oversized sweatshirt and muttering something about his binder being in the wash, and joe almost cries, and iris pats his shoulder and tells him he’s gone two for two. three for three if you count barry.

joe’s not sure how many people at the precinct know. it’s not a lot. a few of the older cops, maybe, and joe’s pretty sure that eddie knew, but that’s all. one of his big fears used to be being outed against his will at work (he passes well and he’s had top surgery but he’s still kind of self conscious about his chest), but now he doesn’t really know if that’s a fear that he should have. it feels kind of strange now that he’s also afraid of metahumans murdering his children on the streets. but he’s still afraid of it. left over fear after years of hearing his coworkers misgender corpses.
