This Steak with Citrus and Avocado Salad is a delightful combination of flavors and textures. Juicy grilled steak pairs perfectly with the freshness of mixed greens, citrus segments, creamy avocado, and a zesty lime dressing.
Ingredients: 8 oz. steak. 2 cups mixed greens. 1 orange, peeled and segmented. 1 grapefruit, peeled and segmented. 1 avocado, sliced. 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced. 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Add salt and pepper to the steak. Set a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and cook the steak for about 4 to 5 minutes on each side for medium-rare. After taking the steak off the grill, let it rest for a few minutes. Then, cut it into thin slices. The mixed greens, orange and grapefruit segments, avocado slices, red onion, and cilantro should all be put together in a large bowl. Mix the olive oil and lime juice together in a small bowl. Add pepper and salt to taste. Pour the dressing over the salad and mix it all together. Place a salad on each plate and top with a slice of steak. Serve right away and enjoy!
