Leaving Riyadh feels like stepping away from a city that opened its doors with generosity and depth. The days spent here and at Cityscape Global carried a level of vision that reshapes what development can become. Grateful for the guidance from DTI, POCB, and the Philippine Embassy, and for colleagues who made every moment purposeful. I appreciate the kindness of our hosts whose hospitality created a sense of abundance that encourages stronger connections and new alliances. Some days remind you how generous people can be. I spent the day in Dammam with a great friend, an engineer and former financial director of Aramco, and his welcome gave me a deeper understanding of the region and its ambitions. He opened the doors of the Aramco compound and shared the history and future of the area through stories and places that few visitors get to see. We moved through Dammam, Dhahran, and Khobar as he explained the growing landscape of development. The tour of the Ithra Museum provided an inspiring glimpse into the architecture and cultural programs that have shaped it. The mosque visit gave me a calm moment to appreciate the spiritual foundations of the place. The thoughtful gift, the lunch that felt like a feast, and even the ride to the airport all contributed to a day built on kindness. I gained valuable insight into the opportunities here and felt the sincerity of the hospitality extended to me. I look forward to building on this connection and seeing how our work can grow in the region.

A courtesy visit to the Philippine Embassy in Saudi opened a valuable moment of insight. Ambassador Raymond Balatbat welcomed us with a generous table, thoughtful stories, and a clear view of how our community continues to grow in the region. Encounters like this shape my direction as I move through Cityscape Global and the wider network of opportunities that surround it. Grateful for the guidance and the hospitality that framed this visit and inspired the work ahead.

Back in Riyadh very late, and the first thing I got was this lamb kabsa delivered with pure comfort on a plate. The long-grain rice came alive with the flavors of cardamom, clove, and black lime. The lamb felt like it had been cooked for hours after being slow-cooked. The roasted chili, cashews, and crispy onions added layers that made the whole dish feel like a welcome ritual from this side of the world. Travel tastes better when the city greets you with a classic like this.

Heading to Saudi Arabia for a special mission as part of the Philippine delegation to the Cityscape Global 2025. It will be a gathering of visionaries shaping the future of real estate, design, and urban innovation. I am deeply grateful to the Department of Trade and Industry for facilitating this opportunity and for their continued efforts in promoting Filipino excellence on the global stage. Being among industry leaders and nation-builders from around the world is both humbling and energizing. It’s a moment to listen, learn, and engage in conversations that can spark meaningful collaborations. My hope is to open new doors for project opportunities and investments that will flow back to the Philippines, strengthening our place in the global development arena. This journey is also about sharing what our country has to offer. Our creativity, our design intelligence, and our deep understanding of how architecture can shape communities and experiences. I carry with me the passion of our team and the spirit of Filipino ingenuity, ready to represent our collective pursuit of progress.
