[ Hi, @spectacularlyinsane !] I made my Gen 2 Billy costume! (and my Gen 1, actually.) For the first version, Sabrea helped me pattern, and really gave me a lot of advice on the project, which was probably the most ambitious one I’d taken on at that point. The dark grey is a grey 2 way stretch from an independent fabric store called The Sewing Studio in Maitland, FL. The piping is hand laid - it's red rope covered by red fabric, to get the desired thickness. The first edition that you see here of galaxy print is actually deconstructed galaxy tights from Amazon. At the time, there wasn't really any commercially available Galaxy print. In my recently remade version, I have a nice dance stretch that Joann Fabrics recently came out with. It's beautiful, I'm very happy with it. It should be noted, that I still have some finesse edits left on my second version, like sewing in a bit closer to the piping to make the lines cleaner! I can’t wait for it to come through! I included two of my progress photos, including the piece comparisons from the first version to the second version. The LEDs are just string LEDs attached to a black undersuit, with the battery pack affixed on the back. I haven’t incorporated LEDs into my new suit yet, but I think instead of one cohesive string I’m going to wire separate strings for each limb. The wigs were from Amazon. The cape was just a thick red fabric, either from Joann's or The Sewing Studio.Hope this helps!
