it's a common misconception that claire novak was not confirmed to be queer until season 14 episode the scar, when her feelings for kaia nieves are explicitly referenced by jody mills in a conversation with sam.
in fact, claire was canonically confirmed to be queer over a year earlier when she was shown to be driving a subaru, the sapphic car manufacturer of choice since the early 90's.
